12 Days of Christmas Giveaway-Day 10
Imaginif you could keep your kids safe just by reading them a story. You can! It’s called bibliotherapy. Megan over at Imaginif Child Protection became Serious Business knows a bit about this sort of stuff because she is a child and protective behaviour specialist. Add to that, Megan actually wrote the TWO books we’re giving away today: Bitss of Caramel Marmalade on Toast.
Although written as a tall tell-tale and endearingly stirring children’s read, this junior fiction chapter book sensitively addresses important protective behaviour strategies aimed at protecting children from hidden harms.
The story gives children in the 8-12 year old age group an opportunity to growl against those seemingly sweet monsters that hide within our utopia but who may really want to change ripeness for life into a rancid, rotting mass of fly blown waste (for a little more story description, read a blurb over at Imaginif’s Protective Play shop).
Bitss of Caramel Marmalade on Toast is definitely a book to include in the discerning child’s or adult’s Christmas stocking. If you care about keeping your child safe from bullies and predators, then this is the competition for you to enter.
To win one of two copies of Bitss of Caramel Marmalade on Toast
Imaginif wants you to enter their Child Safety tips Christmas competition. But…you leave your child safety tip here. Megan will collect your tips to include in the Imaginif competition (cash prize too by the way: final amount corresponds to number of tips) and I get to pick two winners from here based on whether I think your child safety tip would help keep my kids safe. I’ll be judging your tips over the weekend.
But wait…there’s more. Imaginif also donated a Kookaburra Hand puppet for women bloggers who participate in our All Women Blogging Carnival. If you are included in next Monday’s All Women Blogging Carnival then you will be in the draw to win the Kookaburra hand puppet.
And last but not least, Imaginif wishes you all a safe Christmas and offers you a FREE copy of their protective play tutorial, “Parent Sense” (here’s my tip – print this tutorial out and read it to help generate some good child safety tips – it gets the creative protective play juices flowing).
RRP of Bitss of Caramel Marmalade on Toast is $15.00 and Kookaburra hand puppet $18.00.
