Top Australian Women bloggers updated

1st of May, and it’s time for another Top 100 Australian Women bloggers list update.

During the month we saw Alexa overhaul their ranking system, which is part of part of the numbers I use to put the list together. There have been a few jumps up and down in the rankings, most notably Skelliewag plunging from her months of sitting at 1st place to 13th.

Women Blogging Monday- All things cupcake

Trying to decide how to pick a Woman bloggers to feature is really hard, I want to feature those in the Top 100, but also others as well . So this week I have gone with my super most favourite blog in my reader at the moment..yes, you guessed it..it’s about cupcakes!

All Things Cupcake is a site for the cupcake obsessed. If you aren’t obsessed with cupcakes, you will be! These girls do a great job updating this site daily, so you are always going to get your cupcake fix.

This isn’t just one Woman blogger, there are 10 that contribute to keeping this blog fresh and tasty everyday.

They share all kinds of cupcake goodness, from gifts, clothes and jewellery and where to buy them to tattoos (my favourite) and real cupcakes and their delish recipes!

Life of Riley-Women Blogging Monday

What better place to start our new Women blogging feature than with Australia’s, and probably the worlds oldest Woman Blogger, 108 year old, Olive Riley.

Life of Riley

Olive has been blogging, with the help of her friend Mike at Life of Riley since February 2007. While she might not be typing herself, she is blogging all the same and her “blob” as she calls it, has gained her thousands of fans from all over the world.

Sharing her tales and photos, reminiscing on her life and history, Olive tells stories of living Australian history. They are a valuable gift that technology enables her to share with everyone.

Olive is inspiring other elderly people to turn to blogging to document their lives and the history they have lived for future generations.

One post that I remember very well, and it is one of her first. She tells the story of how she had all her teeth removed in her lunch hour, without any pain relief at all!

I for one hope I can still be blogging at half her age.

Women blogging Monday

Sadly, I have decided to discontinue the All Women Carnival. It is something I have been tossing up for a few months now. I didn’t feel it was for filling the original plans I had for it to showcase blogging women.

A big thank you to everyone who took the time to host and promote the carnivals, it was very much appreciated.

So what will we do on Mondays instead?

Here on All for Women I am planning to showcase a Woman’s Blog every Monday. A little review and information about one blog a week, so each blog gets a little bit of extra special attention.

So stay tuned tomorrow for the first installment of Women blogging Monday. Perhaps you can join me and showcase one of your favourite Women bloggers each Monday!

We have decided to change the All Women blogging carnival over to fornightly, instead of weekly. So we’ll now be holding the carnival every 2nd Monday.
