I have been meaning to come in here for days and tell you about 2 great DVD's we watched on the weekend.
The first one was Nanny McPhee which starred Emma Thompson and Colin Firth and the other was The March of the Penguins, which had commentary by Morgan Freeman (could listen to that man talk all day!).
Both of the movies were very enjoyable but in different ways. Nanny McPhee was a real feel good movie while the Penguins was really a documentary but one that would appeal to every one...even really young children.
I could really reccomend them both for a great family movie night.
If you have seen them please tell me if you enjoyed them as much as me?
We have seen Nanny McPhee & loved it. Have been looking at the Penguin one on Foxtel but not decided to watch it yet. May have to check it out over the weekend.

Oh we watched March of the Penguins on Foxtel BO last weekend, I loved it, so beautiful (I cried a lot too, stoopid pregnancy hormones ... but I cry in the Simpsons at the moment too ). Morgan Freeman has a really great narration voice doesn't he ;)
Haven't seen Nanny McPhee yet.

we actually put it on after he was in bed ... but after I'd seen it I thought he would have enjoyed it too. He loves the penguins at the Aquarium so he'd love to watch a movie of them. Might get it on DVD for him to watch.

March of the Penguins was actually the first movie we took Kieren to in a theatre. We all really enjoyed it and bought the DVD as soon as it came out.
We also really liked Nanny McPhee. I do not like how they call it "The New Mary Poppins" It even says that on the DVD. But we have watched it several times.. we all enjoy it too.

March of the Penguins is one of my favourite movies. Couldn't you just curl up next to Morgan Freeman when he speaks :d: .
Don't worry I cried too when I watched it and I'm not even pregnant.LMAO

We've got March of the Penguins here on DVD but I haven't had a chance to sit down and actually watch it. Might do it Sunday morning before work - or even on Friday while I'm here by myself. Have heard so many good things about it :)

Snow Dogs is funny most of the way through...if that's the one with Cuba Gooding Jr in it.
I loved March of the Penguins too....8 and Below made me cry but I still loved it especially at the end...well I won't say what happens because it would ruin it for those who have not seen it yet but it is extremely heart-warming. Think I will buy it on DVD for Christmas.
