You know how they often have samples of food to try in the supermarket ... do you ever taste it? I never do. I just can't bring myself to eat it when I don't know how long it's been there or who's touched it etc ... (I never take the give-aways at Baker's Delight either, same reasons).

Also, if you do taste it, does it ever influence you to actually purchase it? I'm assuming it must be worthwhile for the distributors to do it, but I don't know anyone who actually buys food after taking some of the free sample.

I do sometimes, hadn't really thought about it before, but thanks for pointing that out :P. I think they are fairly safe tho, but I guess it depends, sometimes if the person giving them out, or preparing the sample right then for you it wouldn't be so bad. Free for all type things I won't try.

We tried a Kabana thing a few months ago, something I would not have normally bought. We liked it, and continue to buy it.

There was a woman at one of those stands the other week, showing off Dine. Hayden was disgusted, "EWWWW Mum, are people going to taste Cat food?"... I said yes LOL

I think i tasted something weird many years ago but not recently... I work at a supermarket and I notice these people are there A LOT it is sometimes annoying actually.. LOL One girl was getting people to taste avocado's... hmmm like no one has tried THAT before!

Anyhow I think they are pretty safe (well I wouldn't eat the cold things even if the salespeople are standing near the freezer section) they use gloves wear hairnets etc... But I'm not really into taste testing heheh.
