View Full Version : Room with a view?
I thought it might be good to have a bit of insight into every ones home.
So, tear your eyes away from the monitor, turn your head towards the nearest window and tell me what you see.
I see..
Gray dull skies. A red house roof completely covered with a swimming pool solar heater. Lots of palm trees, a timber fence with fig vine growing over it. Not much of a view I'm afraid :(

Hey its not that bad!!! Mine: I see a clothesline (woohoo!) that looks like it is about to fall apart, a few very nice leafy green trees... then on the left *drumroll* construction workers, a backhoe and all the rest *cries* then to the right the neighbours shed and behind that a block of apartments :(

Well my *nearest* window shows a horrible brick and colourbond fence, so I am going to cheat and look out our back plate glass door/window, which overlooks Bardwell Valley so lots of trees and some houses, brilliant sunshine, blue sky ... it's not bad for being this close to the City.
Oh, and our little patch of grass which is very overgrown at the moment.

The two storey big white house that is being built acrosst the road. Some days are really interesting as there are lots of different tradesman working. Though for the past week very quiet, apparently there are some major problems with the house so looks the the new neighbours won't be moving in at the end of the month. It's been a big job, been going since before Xmas. Maybe he'll be moved in by this Xmas
;) Guess I am the lucky one!! No matter which window I look out of I have a lovely view. Rural, but lovely! Behind me, in this room, I can see a row of trees, then the paddock, another row of trees (there is a river there, but I cannot see it, can sometimes hear it, does that count? ;) ) and beyond that, mountains!! Today the sky was clear, with just a few clouds over the mountains (probably dropping a light dusting of snow!)
Right at this very moment, the stars are out! It is almost pitch black out, and there is already a light frost on the ground. It is almost 11pm here!! lol

Well looking out the window at the moment its pitch black but if it was daytime I would be able to see a huge tree which has lost most of its leaves thru winter, patches of colourbond fence through lots of native trees and shrubs and bits of houses and rooves thru the trees also. Pretty good considering we're smack bang in the middle of suburbia :P But its got nothing on Anne's gorgeous surroundings ;)
