I feel like such a hyprocrite! Spending heaps of money on a wedding is such a waste ..until it's your own daughter's LOL I want her to have everything she wants. I hope I can help her have the wedding day she dreams of. I got all teary just looking at wedding albums at a photographers. Imagine when I see my own daughter get married!

Erin's wedding date has been set - October 14th 2006.

Erin, Wendy (my cousin, lucky girl), Sue (Gav's mum) and I had lunch at Sirromet Winery and paid a deposit for the wedding - gee glad we got in early! September is completely booked out, one date in October left, 3 dates in November left! 2006 we are talking, not 05. Decided to bring the wedding forward to October as November can be extremely hot, and the threat of afternoon storms is greater. They have a gorgeous setting at the winery for the ceremony overlooking a lake filled with water lilies.

Can anyone tell us when water lilies flower? We asked at the winery and got told it depends on the rain? HUH? Not that it really matters, it would just be a bonus to have the lilies in flower.

Speaking of November being hot, Hugo was born on 10 October last year, we brought him him on 13 October and it was 38 degrees! (He spent his first 2 days at home just in a nappy and singlet, we have photos, so cute! But then it started raining).

I am astounded that they are booked out this far ahead. What about people wanting to organise quicky weddings (for whatever reason)?

Have no idea about the flowers, but if they are in the water, why does it depend on the rain?

It all sounds so beautiful, keep us up to date with the planning (I feel like I'm living vicariously through you!)

Yeah, that statement has me puzzled too. Was hoping someone could enlighten me/us LOL

You're right Naomi, about the weather - there are no guarantee's unfortunately.

I remember going some where during summer and the water lillies were flowering.

LOL Naomi...i've done that a few times too...Izzy was born on 26th October and i've often said 27th (Our wedding anniversary is on 27th June) or 29th (Hubby's birthday's on 29th July...) I always get confused and look silly when someone asks me...

About the Water Lilies Pam....I found this...i skimmed through it and thought it might help a bit...
