T-shirts that is.

I have always hung every t-shirt on a hanger. The new wardrobe fittings have been fitted in the WIR and we now have 6 extra draws, plus we bought a huge tall boy with the new bedroom suite, so I was thinking it might be a better idea to fold t-shirts, and that then make more hanging space. Does anyone fold their t-shirts? Do you find it hard see which t-shirt you want when they are folded? And how do you keep them nice ..like when you pull the 3rd t-shirt down - the t-shirts on top get all messed up don't they? As I type it's seems like a bad idea LOL. Unfortuatly, our WIR doesn't have a huge hanging space. I guess I can use the wardrobes in the other bedrooms for clothes not worn everyday. Think I answered my own question :tyeo:

How is your wardobe organised?

Folded.

Do you iron your t-shirts before you hang them?? I just fold as I bring them off the clothes line and them they get put away like that. They generally aren't really crushed and I usually know just from looking at the pile which one I want. I lift all the shirts on top off the one I want and then just put them all back like that so they don't get messed up.

Yes, t-shirts are ironed before being hung :)

Our wardrobe is the kitchen table half the time  By the time i fold things, and put them away, someone is wearing it again 5mins later...hardly seems worth my time LOL.

Pam forgets to mention that she cheats, and has an ironing man :P

Ironing?? What is that?? Is that what you do with the dryer? Coz that is all I do - hang clothes up that need hanging up straight after the dryer is finished. It helps that I have wrinkle free selection on there!

We hang our shirts, for the simple fact that we have NO drawers!! We have two wardrobes on either side of a mirror and these are built onto the wall, so there is no changing them. My shorts are just in the bottem of my cupboard on a set of cheap shelving bought from a $2 shop!! Next house we have, I will be looking at a little better for that - and screens!!

When I was folding my shirts, it was easy to see which one was which. This was probably because I folded them and new what went where. If I didnt fold them, or put them away (ha!!) then I could tell them apart from the others by the colour of them. As for getting them out neatly, I would just take the top ones off and then put them back - or just take one from the top!!
