Socks and Undies

Do you match up socks and fold undies? Do you iron undies? I match up socks, but I don't fold undies, let alone iron them! They just get chucked in the draw.

But I'm turning over a new leaf when we move into our new bedroom, I have dreams of keeping all my draws all lovely and neat LMAO

I have given up matching and folding socks with 4 daughters I never know which ones belong to whom. So I have solved that problem- all the kids socks go in a box downstairs and it is up to them to find their own ( needless to say my son wears odd socks all the time lol).

Hubby and I also have our own sock box upstairs because so many seem to get eaten by my hungry washing machine and I always have odd ones left over.

Oh yeah and the undies just get shoved in the drawer :P

I match and fold. I actually hang the socks in pairs on the line so I know if any are missing (and put odd socks aside until I find the pair, or throw them out because I can't find the pair). DH has 12 pairs of identical socks because I got so sick of never being able to match his (black) socks. Every few months we throw out the holey ones and buy more. And I fold as I take stuff off the line to save time.

I then match the socks up, and fold the jocks.

IRONING ????? - what's that ??? I don't iron anyhting at all - OH irons his own shirts.

I will iron something when I want to wear it - if it needs it !!!! LMAO

When I find a pair of socks, I fold them together and then give them to the person they belong to. Or I put them in my little drawer or Pete's. As for the undies, I fold mine and Pete's to keep the little tiny piddly drawers we have neat and then just hand the rest over to the kids. The older two are in charge of their own clothes - washing, drying and folding, so my life is a little easy!!

Lee, my 23 year old son came over on Saturday to do some gardening for me. He had a shower and of course "borrowed" clothes from Dad LOL.

When Lee came around last night I said sorry Lee I seemed to have lost your other footy sock? Weird, I can't find it anywhere. But I did find one of Jaydes (his girlfriend) bobby socks. That didn't surprise me as she has stayed over many times.

I'ts okay mum, I couldn't find the other footy sock either. So he wore ONE footy sock and ONE girls bobby sock (with a hole in the heel I might add)!

Now that's ODD!

I have sometimes found things like socks in the doona cover after it has been washed with them. So it's worth looking in odd places for those missing socks. :O

i only match my husbands socks and the rest of the families go into the never ending sock basket, hoping one day there other half will turn up. No i dont iron undies, just grab them out of the dryer and shove in drawers.
