Hi everyone, I'm new here. I've been searching for a place to kind of call home, to fit in. In my search, I stumbled across this site. My name is Chrissy, I'm 27 and a married mom of two. My husband and I live in Florida right now, but we're planning a big move early next year. Anyway, I notice there are a lot of sites out there for parenting, and parenting support, etc. Well, I love my kids with all my heart, but sometimes I really just don't want to talk about them all the time. I wanted to find a place where I can talk to other women, to make friends, and not have to discuss how many diapers I changed today, lol. I guess you can say I crave grown up interaction. I don't mind talking about the children sometimes, but I just want to kick back and me myself...not Mommy. :)

I'm Pam, it's been a long long time since I changed diapers (thank god), my 2 kids have left home, but we have 3 cats and 2 dogs to spoil LOL. I live on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Looking forward to chatting with you :waves:

Thanks for the nice welcome :) Well, we're not moving to Australia, although I am sure I wouldn't mind it. I've always wanted to go there. I just realized that This site is Australian based? I guess I am silly and didn't look too closely, lol. I've never been out of the USA. Never even been outside of my part of the map. When we move, it will still be in the USA....when I said a big move, I meant we would probably going to the other side of the map here. Arizona is one of the places we're considering. I know...we haven't even decided yet, but we're still working on that part :) I hope this is ok, I'm American and all.

Hi there!! Im shelli, mother to 5 full time (including hubby-to-be) and 2 part time. I like this site for the same reasons you stated.....I love my kids, but dont like talking about them ALL the time!!

I live in Rockhampton, which is on the central coast of Queensland. We also have a dog, who is a poodle x schitzu.

Thanks, lol....as you can see, I don't pay attention to detail at 1 am....I had a bout of insomnia last night, and was bored and restless. So I discovered AFW out of luck, lol. But I love Australia (what I know of it!) so I sure don't mind being International.

Hello Chrissy, my name is Anne, I am a mother to 5 Sons, all grown now also. :) I live in New Zealand. Made the big move from Oz in January this year. :) Glad you found AFW and am sure you will find lots of topics of interest. We do tend to chat about just about anything! :hug:

I have friends from another forum in USA, and am planning to meet with some of them in December. I am really looking forward to that. :) They are coming to NZ.

I've changed two nappies so far today! Just kidding LMAO (well I have changed two nappies but kidding about discussing it, lol).

My li'l sister is travelling in the US atm, all over the country really. She has been in Virginia being a counsellor at a summer camp there but is now travelling. I've never been but DH is keen to go so I'm sure we'll get there at some point. So it's good to have an American on the forums!
