What is the best way to store clothes??? Ive been going through Ty's baby clothes and am wondering what is the best way to store them?? As I wont be needing any of the boy oes I want to put them away somewhere, ATM they are just in bags or boxes in a cupboard  Also should I soak and wash them first??

Soak and wash and when completely dry, fold.
Line a wooden box (preferably) with white tissue paper (butchers paper might be cheaper) place folded clothes in layers with the same paper between each layer.
You can buy blocks of Napthalene (I think from Woolies) and put that on top.
Make sure that whatever insect deterrent you use does not have contact with the clothes or it will stain.
Seal the boc and store where it cannot become waterdamaged.

I washed all of Kierens, then put them in big plasic zips and sucked all the air out with a straw, then I placed them in plastic totes I bought from Target.
I have them separated by sizes and seasons.

Toni has Briars clothes stored the same way Gina, but might tell her to go through them after reading Heathers way, be a horrible shame if something happened to them, I know you can buy special blue paper for wrapping clothes in

We've done the same - those vacuum packs are great for storing heaps of stuff. You can usually pick them up cheap at kmart/big w/target etc etc :)
Agree with the vacuum packs. They are great!
Gone are the days of storing your clothes in moth balls! My mum used to store all her clothes using them and I never could stand the smell when you brought them out of storage. :eww:

Yes...I had forgotten about those storage bags.
I must admit tho" the ones I have used (Space Saver I think) didn't work as well as I had hoped.
However if you get good ones, then you do not have to worry about staining or moths. Just be aware that if they are not sealed properly, or if they are cut/torn/pricked then the whole exercise is pointless.....they will not seal.

i use the space saver bag, and even though most eventually lost their suction, they still kept most of the dust and stuff out.
