Who has them and have they been successful? I have thought about having one ..but sounds too much bother. Tossing is easier LOL

We had a garage sale when we sold our parents home.

If you can put up with early callers and hagglers then have one. Otherwise if they is something that can be reused phone Lifeline or St Vincent De Paul, they usually call around and collect any gear you don't want.
