Throwing myself a party...

Is this a social no-no? I really want to have a party for my 25th birthday in October but I also want to organise it myself. I have no idea what to put on the invites though! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. :D

Hi Manda... i say go for it, your birthday you deserve to have what you like.
No idea really what to put on invites.. but maybe have some pinatas ( rude ;) ones if ur so inclined lol) also maybe some tents or something so people dnt have to drive etc

I think if you would like to throw a party for yourself - go for it. I see nothing wrong with that. As for the invitations .. asking everyone to help you celebrate your 25th birthday sounds nice :)

I've got it! An 80's Karaoke Party (since I was born in 1980!). Ooooh, I like the sound of that!

80's theme is a great idea, would have no shortage of great music. And what a laugh to see people in hypercolour t-shirts, leg warmers and bubble skirts LOLOL

An 80's party is a great idea. We did a similar 70's party about 2 years ago and I made entry tickets as invites. Basically they looked like tickets similar to those you might get at a movie or concert. On the side/end it had "Admit One" or we had some that had "Admit Family" and "Admit 2". They turned out really well. Just an idea.....

What a fantastic idea!! I dont think its a no-no, coz I organised my 21st!! I had just been thru a hard time and wanted to do something for myself, so I organised it all and invited everyone in my family along. It was done on the cheap, but everyone had a good time.

I think the theme you have chosen is excellent. Would suit you very well, considering you were born in 1980!!
