Christmas shopping for 2007

LOL.. ok, I know this christmas has just only finished.. but when do you start shopping and collecting for the next one?

I say every year that I am going to get a money tin/box (That I CANT open) and give it to mum to look after and add in money every week at least so when it does come close we have savings already, even $10 a week.

How about a Christmas club account??? I'm thinking of opening one this year and using that for presents/groceries next Christmas.

Don't the banks have the Xmas clubs anymore..............or do you lose to much to fees.
Later in January I will start to look for items, and continue during the year.

we have a christmas club but i also buy from now on, we have 7 GKIDS to buy for & our own 3 kids & their partners & we like to give lots of pressies & as we are on a pension we just have to buy 12 months of the year

Well I will once again say I am going to start early and then 2 weeks before Chrissie I will be running around like a chook with its head cut off and freaking out over money. :yes: But no this year will be different, I promise:yes:

I dont have a definate plan but do pick up things as I see them. If something is on special and I think I have someone who it would suit then I buy it. When my kids were younger I used to have a present box that I would fill after the January and July sales. I would buy lots of things like photo frames and craft kits etc when they were marked right down and then when the kids had a party to go to they just went to the present box and picked a present. It is much cheaper than panicking at the last minute and spending money you don't have.
