A 67-YEAR-OLD Spanish woman became the world's oldest new mother when she gave birth to twins, a Barcelona hospital said.

stupid women.
i still get my period ( think the HRT that I'm on keep them comming) must ask the Dr if i could still get pregs, not that i would because DH got the chop 27 yrs ago.

I can understand why.......but at the same time I feel that the woman is being very selfish.
We are given the ability (naturally or assisted) to have children within a certain time frame for very good reasons.......health and the ability to care for those children being the primary.
I wish her the very best and I hope that she and the babies have very strong support.

That is really sad. How is she going to handle it?
Wonder if she will be around to see them finish school, or get married, or have kids of thier own.

There is a certain age limit on IVF but it is dependent on which country you live as to what they think the age limit is. I'm with you on this one Leigh - why exactly?

If she wanted kids, why didn't she have them when she was younger. She's being very selfish. Wonder what her family thinks about it?

I wonder if she will be around long enough to see them finish primary school personally...she'd be 79yo by the time they got to high school.
I can just imagine it....the school kids will think she's their nanna. :blink:
