Great Aunt

I'm going to a Great Aunt for the 10th time next March! Any other Great Aunts amongst us? *sounds soooo ancient*

Growing up, I was close to 2 of my Great Aunts and loved them dearly!! They were lovely ladies. I dont think I ever thought of them as being 'old' though. :pam: :blush: Oh to be a kid, again and run up to them and give them a big hug!!

I'm not a great aunt but I wanted to add this. I am one of nine children. My older brother had a baby (well, his wife did) when my youngest brother was about 4 so theoretically, he could be a great uncle at a very young age (depending on when my niece has a baby). Imagine being a 25 yo great aunt or uncle.

I became a great aunt at 33 ( by marriage) but my hubby was only 34 at the time, his brother and sister both had their first children about 10 days apart when he was about 10.

One of my neighbours has 2 sons my age and also has a daughter the same age as my 2nd child. Her eldest son had a son nearly a year before his sister was born so she was an instant aunty.

I remember a girl at school who had a baby at 14 her mother also had her at 14 so she was a grandma before she was 30.
