I usually take it down NYD, but I slept from noon - 10pm instead.

I still have up my lawn ornaments too.

I took my decorations and lights down before we left on vacation last thursday and just stuck the tree on the back porch...I am sure it will stay there for a while.

I Took mine down on the 2nd of Jan. I had no idea that you weren't meant to take it down until the 12th day. I always wondered what day to do it. Oh well now I know for next year.

January 6th is the epiphany.....when the Magi (wise men) came to Jesus....therefore the 12th day of Christmas.
The confusion probably arises because the Judaic day starts at sunown ...ergo sunset 5th Jan to sunset 6th Jan.

Mine comes down Boxing day...it also doesn't go up til at least the first of December...I hate the Christmas tree...it is so messy and between the kids and the animals it always looks so shattered by Christmas day...I bet IT"S happy to be taken down...:hehe:

We took ours down the day after christmas, it was in the lounge room and needed the space so the kids could play with their new toys.

Yes it's still up and will stay up until next Christmas and the one after that. LMAO It's sitting in our unused back room cupboard so I don't have to decorate it again. :yes:

I couldn't be bothered taking my tree down so last Monday, I grabbed it, walked it down to the nature strip and put it out with the wheelie bins!!

It's a couple years old anyway and going abit lopsided.

Then I tossed the tree out in my driveway.

Our tree wasn't put up this year because we were overseas on holiday but father christmas did come to our hotel and the hotel had a beautiful christmas tree
