My favourite show is Days Of Our Lives and has been so for many years! I love it so much that I have the Special Albums of the show, and used to get Mum tape it for me when I was in high school!
Even though it's unbelievable, I love how the children age in Soapies. Isn't it funny, one minute there a baby, then they're about 5 years old a year or so later, and then you never see the children for awhile. About 3 - 5 years later, the children suddenly arive on screen either as a 16 year old, or even a 20 something year old! That's soap aging for you!
I love all the old characters like Patch and Kayla, and Kim and Shane. I also love trying to track the family trees, oh, how complicated are the families of The Hortons, Brady's and DiMera, and all the others.
Loved how Shawn rode through the church the other day to stop the wedding of Belle and Phillip! Classic! Just like Bo all those years ago when he rode up and recued Hope from marrying crook Larry Welch!
The original Jack and Jen back in Days together is so great and they are funny together. Now need the original Wayne Northrop back as Roman. Well, I can rave on for hours about this show. Does anyone else love this show like me? :tyeo:

What happened to Marlena, and why was John Black in hospital and now hooked on drugs? So everyone got off the island that was supposed to be dead.
Fill me in please on what i have missed.

I used to love this show have watched it since my high school days, but I don't get to watch it much these days. I totally lost track of everything when they did that catch up to the US thing.

But I do have a question- Are Jack and Jen really back together? They were one of my fave couples.

:) Hi you guys. Well, yep, as you said gce20 everyone got off of Captive Island (I've missed episodes here and there too so need to catch up myself). John and Tony had a fight and somehow Tony blew up the island (I think) and somehow they all ended up in the ocean. Next thing, there was a tidal wave and some people are on rafts and some have washed away. Anyway, most of them got rescued by the Coast Gaurd and taken to Salem. Marlena and Roman ended up getting picked up by a Japanese Fishing Boat of which Tony was on and therefore ended up being held captive again by Tony.
Hi Mel35, :D As for Jack and Jen, yep, think they are still together. They were reunited on Captive Island, apparently Jack had been held captive by Tony or Stefano for ages. They must have been together months back too (I missed those episodes, or maybe it was in the bit that Australia skipped) because they've had a baby together whom was born recently.
Have we seen Bo and Hopes baby? Zach is it? I haven't seen him since he was a baby before the 4 year skip. He's probably a teenager by now! lol

I watch it too, when I can. I became hooked when I was in uni & had my appendix out :) Often I'll miss it for ages, and come back & not mauch has changed! Gotta love soapies.

Hi MissyK, yeah, it sure is addictive. Occasionally I watch The Young and the Restless, which I also like, but nothing can beat good old "Days" :)
I love John and Marlena as my favourite couple I think. Who's yours? Have you got a favourite storyline?
I think it is great that people like Alice, Abe, Maggie, John, Marlena, Stefano, Tony, Roman, Doug and Julie, Jennifer, Jack and many others have been on Days of our Lives for years and years, some of them like Alice from when it started over 30 something years ago, and others who keep re-curring in the show every now and then! It makes it seem like they are real, not just characters acting on a show.
Does anybody ever know what ever happened to Eric? :dk:

*hands up* Days would be the only soapie that I have really gotten into. I wonder why a lot tho LOL.

I went off watching it for a few months, and has taken me 4mths to catch up after they thought they would do the few years catch up ( they could have given some warning, so we could have watched and taken notes :Hehe: )

Half the time, it is so funny it's stupid LOL. I actually cheated and went and read a few months story line, trying to find out what happened. And read all about the island and the stalker, and couldn't believe it. What about Marlena being possessed LMAO

Hi Leigh, I was spewing about the catch up show! Think they aired it twice and I missed it both times. Yep, I didn't know it was on until I looked up at the tv in a fish and chip shop and there is the 4 year catch up episode on and I coudn't believe I was missing it. I tried calling home for someone to tape it and everything and missed it! x(
Marlena being possessed was so unbelievable, it was funny! She was possessed twice remember, once a little while ago when everyone though she was murdering the Salemites and again years ago, before the 4 year jump. :roll:
Yep, I also read up on the net about Days as I miss episodes here and there and I like to see what's happening in American episodes, as they still seem to be ahead of us by about 5 months I figure.

Thought I'd add something to this Days Of Our Lives Thread. Days of our Lives is my favourite show, yet I haven't seen it for ages 'cause of the cricket and with being at work and stuff like that. Finally, thought I'd get to see it today when we were at relatives house but we couldn't stay for it!
Can anyone tell me what's been going on on the show if you've seen it?! Please, I'm in need for some D.O.O.L gossip!:help: From Contiki.:)

sammy is in the war zone, trying to geet philip back, as is his brothers and shaun d. they have only just realized that sammi is also there.

marlena, john, roman etc think that toni is dead, but he isn't...and has tried to manipulate sammi to do his dirty work.

caroline and victor are alive, but everyone thinks that they are dead along with tony.

meanwhile billi keeps on running off, taking bo' with lher to look for their daughter georgia. but it a goose chase with traps at every corner. the last clue they went to lead to Bo and Billi being trapped where there was gas being pumped into the room. billi thinks they are going to die and asks bo to make love to her. bo thinks that it is his 'fancy face' as he is hallucinating. hope finally works out were they are and comes to save them, only to see them 'doing the do'. she saves them from dying, and swears revenge on Billi.

I am guessing that Billi will now get pregnant with Bo's child.

Hi, Thanks for that Dolly! Turned on DOOL the other day and saw them all running around in the war zone! I couldn't figure out what was going on for a minute there! How did they all end up there anyway? How come John and his trusty ISA mates haven't rescued him yet? Isn't the whole war thing a set-up by Tony? Sami as Stan is silly I reckon. And how many times have Bo and Billie been cought in some trap (or any characters for that matter) or involved in some mysterious adventure, etc. Isn't it amazing how the Salemites easily jet set all over the world at the drop of a hat? They must be made of money and have such understanding bosses at their jobs! Well, that's Soap Operas for you! LOL! I'd still watch DOOL no matter what strange ideas they come up with as I love the show! From Contiki.LMAO :)
