Ladies,
I'm a little lost atm. My cousins wedding was going to be a formal one and I was fine with that. I was looking forward to getting all dolled up etc and knew what type of dress I wanted, now she has changed it to semi-formal and I have no idea what to wear. It's not for a few months yet, but I still would like to sort out what I'm wearing ASAP.
Any idea's on what I could get to wear for the wedding? It's in May and in Tasmania, so it's going to be really REALLY cold.
Thanks ladies.

How about pants with a nice (warm) glittery top......or is that too old?

I'm not really a glitter girl and I'm going through a dress stage. Even when I hated dresses I always wore them to weddings lol. Thanks for the idea tho *hugs*

semi formal, think garden party, nice flowing dress. Just doesnt need to be silk or taffetta or stuff.
My wedding was semi formal, so everyone just dressed neat and tidy.

Another cousin had a smart-casual wedding and I wore this really pretty red dress. It was more formally, but when we got to the wedding, a lot of people had turned up more formally.
It'll have to be a long dress and be able to match a warm wrap to it easily. I hope the wedding and reception are somewhere warm, like indoors with heaters lol. I love the cold, but I'm still a sook lol.

For semi formal I would recommend a long dress, soft and flowy not too stiff or a calf length dress. As for it being a little cold, what about a fake fur wrap with ribbon that ties at the front. If you're considering black, ask the bride first :)
Good luck :)

Yes. When I think semi-formal I think a shorter dress...you can stay warm with a long coat or a wrap...and wear hose. I think longer dress is more formal unless its not a fufu material. Weddings can be tough!

My thoughts exactly. If she wasn't like a sister to me, then I just wouldn't go solely for the fact that I didn't know what to wear lol.

I like the idea of the calf length.......with high heeled boots (no, not Madam Lash type) and the wrap idea is really quite modern, easy and inexpensive.....you can easily sew ribbon onto them.

I understand the concern about not knowing what to wear but I love weddings and love attending them. Good luck with finding something to wear.
Try Mr K dreses, they are not too expensive and are all over the place. They have some lovely dresses this summer. I think their website is mrk.com.au or mrk.com - good luck :)

I was talking to the cousin on msn yesterday and told her I was having too much trouble trying to work out what to wear after I had already figured out what to wear when it was formal, so I told her I was just going to stick to formal and she said that was fine and she didn't care what I wore, just as long as I was there. She is so great :) Now I just have to decide which of the dresses I liked to wear lol. I hate decisions sometimes.

P.S. Thanks for the website colby and thanks for all the other idea's ladies *big hugs*
