Hi, been watching Little Nicky tonight and Mr. Deeds last night. I think Adam Sandler movies are hilarious! The ones I mentioned weren't his best ones, but still funny. His best movies I reckon are 50 First Dates, The Wedding Singer, The WaterBoy, Billy Maddison and Happy Gilmore. I haven't seen the new one Spanglish yet, but I've heard it's good.
I love how he uses lots of the same actors in his movies, and also how they carry their character name from movie to movie or say the same thing in different movies ("You can do it!") LOL From Contiki. LMAO
I too like Adam Sandler. I really enjoyed 50 First Dates, and my boys have most of his other movies. :-)

Yeah Tora, 50 First Dates is great as it also has Drew Barrymore in it, another of my favourite actors. :) From Contiki.

I saw Spanglish a few weeks back and I enjoyed it, but it's very different from his normal movies cause he plays it straight in this one.
50 First Dates was good and I liked the Wedding Singer, but I didn't really like Happy Gilmore.

I don't mind him, tho I find most of his funny movies a little painful to watch LOL. Spanglish wasn't much better.
The Longest yard would have to be his best movie (serious roll) It was a really good movie.

I am going to be the only one to disagree - I have to admit, I don't like his movies at all. In fact will actually not watch a movie if he is in it - he just irritates me. I'm the same with Jim Carey. It's a brand of humour that I don't enjoy.

My favorite movie of Adam Sandler's is the Wedding Singer,I laughed the whole way through it.
It brought back sooooo many memories of the eighties from the clothes, the hair styles, the music, the whole attitude and life style, it was so well done.
I hated Drew Barrymore in it, I thought she dragged it down in a small way, I didn't think she looked "80s" enough if you know what I mean, where as her "Madonna" friend was perfect.
I"ve got in on DVD and I have the soundtrack so I'd say it's one of my favs!

I like him too and my hubby practically loses a lung from laughing through his movies.

Hi Jewly, yeah, sounds as if I'll have to see Spanglish. One movie that I didn't like as much was one of his earlier movies "Overboard", it was a bit weird, have you seen it? :dk:
Leigh, I liked The Longest Yard too, it was very funny. :D
Yeah I know, not everyone likes those types of movies Naomi. I like Jim Carrey movies but yeah, he can be a bit over the top too sometimes. :O
Misha8 and Sammy, The Wedding Singer is great, isn't it? I have it on DVD aswell and also love the 80's music and clothing. I also love "Suddenly 30" as it also has a little bit of 80's stuff in the beginning! Some great 80's movies I love are "Pretty In Pink", "The Breakfast Club" and "St. Elmos Fire". It's funny to look back on the actors and see how different they are nowadays! Also have "Desperately Seeking Susan" with Madonna! Very 80's! LMAO From Contiki.

Actually, I just remembered - I LOVED Jim Carrey in Bruce Almighty, I loved that movie (I thought I wouldn't so maybe I should watch more and I might be surprised :) ) Oh, and I quite liked the Truman Show, too.

Contiki, I love the Breakfast Club, what a classic movie and sound track, I still think of the film when I hear Simple Minds on the radio.
St Elmo's Fire was great, hasn't Demi Moore changed so much!
I also loved the Outsiders, full of 80s hunks like Patrick Swayze, C Thomas Howell, Ralph Macchio, Matt Dillon, what a honey he was and ever Tom Cruise was in it but not lookin' so hot!
I miss drooling over those guys!

Naomi, yeah, Truman Show, that was a good one too wasn't it? Last night I watched Dirty Dancing 2 Havana Nights. It wasn't no where as good as Dirty Dancing 1, but still a pretty good movie on it's own. Patrick Swayze stars in a little role as the dance teacher. Though it's sort of strange as seeing that the movie was only made recently and of course Patrick Swayze is older in this movie, but the movie is set in 1953 or 1958, whereas the original Dirty Dancing is set later in 1963, and Patrick Swayze is much younger looking in it! Another funny thing is that although it's set years ago, the music sounds very modern! Still, a good movie. What do other people think? Contiki. :D :dk:

Wow, I didn't know there was a DD2 ... I loved the first one though! Another favourite 80s movie for me is "16 Candles". Pretty much anything with Molly Ringwald in it just screams 80s Classic, huh.

Punch Drunk Love was quite a good Adam Sandler movie even though I am not a huge fan of his.

I can't stand Jim Carrey either; although The Mask was sort of watchable. I've sort of enjoyed a couple of Adam Sandler's movies, but I find his brand of cutesy pie innocence a bit painful to watch too.

sorry don't like Adam Sandler/Jim Carry or Billy Crystal or Chris Rock or Steve ? in father of the bride...not really into them, they just annoy me for some reason...and yet the dates I have been on the guy always picks one of these actors in it...bored out of my mind...Happy Gilmore is just not funny...
