Does anyone use one of those online DVD rental services (like Quickflix, Bigpond Movies, Homescreen etc)? We're trying to decide which one to go with, probably on a fairly low use plan (no more than 2 at a time).

I've been able to find a couple of reviews on Google but can't decide so would be interested in anyone's opinions, thanks.

I had thought about trying one, but we are more last minute borrowers. So by the time we ordered one, and waited for it to arrive, the urge to watch it would have passed LOL.

A lot have special offers on now, like free trials, that might help you. That's if they don't make you join a 12mth plan (like bigpond)

We used to have a mobile movie man. You could ring up and order movies or games, and he would cpme and drop them off, and pick them up. That was great, and we used the service a lot.

I have used Homescreen, Fetch Me Movies (now Bigpond), Webflicks and Quickflix. I don't use any of them anymore, only because I found it easier to pick up the movies from the local store, and some of them have a fairly slow turnaround time (from the time they get the returned movie till the time they send you replacements) however I did find quickflix and webflicks to be the best of them.

I've heard they are better value if you watch a lot of movies...

I haven't used them myself, sorry.

I haven't used them. When we got broadband we were offered some discount with movies but for the same reasons as Leigh, I would rather get the dvd when I wanted to watch it, not have to wait & then lose interest.
