I read this earlier this morning, its a real worry, I hope they find out what is causing all these birds to die very soon.

That is so sad - poor things :(

It doesn't say if any pet birds had died though. I hope not and I hope they find out what the cause was/is very soon.

Wow, what a mystery, poor birds!

I assume from the article, that it is only wild birds.

THE unexplained rapid near-extinction of birds around the WA town of Esperance mirrors a similar mystery mass aviary death in the US a few days ago.

Very Hitchcockian isn't it?

Hope they find out that it was not man made.......and that the birds come back.

I would miss the morning chorus very much.

From what I have read they have so far ruled out poisoning and bad water supplies.

When I was down there over xmas and new year I remarked to my mum quite a few times how many birds were dead by the side of the road - to me it was freakish numbers. Found the articles on the news upon our return.
