Have his words been taken out of context?
His past sermons have been deliberate Aussie bashing and deliberately inflamatory.....nothing seems to have changed.
If his health is so critical that his family think he can't take any more criticism of his utterances, then it is most definately time for him to step down.
I firmly believe it is in the interests of all that an Imam be appointed who is able to lead the people of his faith and forge strong links with others who are not.
