Does anyone know of a great face wash or toner that will help get rid of these annoying pimples that popped up overnight? Some of the stuff I've tried are: Clean and Clear, and Clearasil. They don't work for me, they just give me dry skin.

What causes pimples to grow overnight? I have three small ones on my left cheek. Can anyone help?

I'm 34 and still get pimples, but mine are definitely caused by the internal stuff (hormones). Nothing I do on the outside seems to help. Maybe a weekly facial, but who can afford that?!?!

I also get the odd pimple. I use tea tree oil, just the Herron brand, it's a bit stinky and stings for the first few seconds but it really works. Not as a wash though just dab on the afffected area. You could try the essentail oil which isn't as stinky but a little more expensive.

A dab of toothpaste (yes toothpaste) directly onto the pimple really works :D Let it dry preferably overnight or when you are at home :D I remember reading in a women's mag that models use toothpaste if they have a pimple and I tried it and it works :D

I don't know what to suggest. I know that you can get them just from hormones but it can also depend on what you eat. As for treating them, I am not sure. I don't get them much anymore but when I did everything I used to try didn't seem to work. I wash my face every night before bed and use a night cream - maybe that has helped :dk: .

I used to use witchhazel cleanser/toner a lot....you can get it from supermarket (Coles I think) or Priceline. Since doing the avon thing though i've got another one! Both tend to dry out your skin, but only if you don't moisturise aswell...need to otherwise you face produces too much oil and cycle goes on. For a quick fix though try dabbing some aftershave on spots a couple of times a day....my mum swears by it and she's 50!

Terrible, terrible things, go to bed looking fine and wake up and look you have not one or two pimples but three, trust me I too get them, what a nightmare, I am now on the pill (which does help) but you can get from your doctor a script for a lotion called Clinda Tech (contains Clindamycin Hydrochloride 1%) and really it is like a toner (but better) and this has really helped, not too drying. :faint:

Also I have used and it also works is Benzac AC 10% you can get this from a chemist and you don't need a script, white clear cream that you apply, very very good. My skin is so much better.

The other option (which is very very expensive) is MicroDermabrasion (I had 6 treatments last year as my sister got married) FANTASTIC, but at $100 a session, it is not cheap, but at least in the photos my skin looks great and it was so good for my self-esteem to have nice clear skin over the Christmas period (the clear skin last about 8 to 12 weeks). Wish I could afford to have more. :)
