ohhh..how exciting Angela!

I never had a show with any of my 3, but then I was induced with 2.

Everyone is different though, so it could mean you could go into labour tomorrow, or next week. But if you are already starting to dilate thats got to be a good sign :)

If you go into labour, will you be still having the c-section?

Good luck, we will all be thinking of you, and please do come and keep us up to date :D

I got my show after I'd been in labour for several hours, not long before DS was actually born (I was about 9cm dilated).

I got none of those 'labour is imminent' signs. I didn't nest, I didn't have a show ... it took me ages to actually admit that I was in labour and not just having braxton hicks contractions because I didn't have any other labour signs.

Oh, and I tried ALL of the 'bringing on labour' tricks and none of them worked. DS took his own time and was 12 days late, inspite of numerous curries, walking up and down steep hills, and other activities we tried to encourage him out. (I think in the end it was the threat of an induction that did it, lol).

oooooh Angela how exciting! Sounds like your baby is on the way. :)

I never had a show with any of my 5 kids, just went straight into labour. Sometimes it can be up to a week after you've had a show till baby is born from what I've been told, but usually its quicker than that. Your labour will probably start within the next 48 hours.

Good Luck with your labour and I hope everything all goes really well for you (and the labour isn't too long!)

Don't forget when you get a bit of time to let us all know how it went.

With Nat I had a show and he was born the next day :)

With Zaccy there was no show, but my waters broke!

How exciting. It shouldn't be long now.

Thanks everyone for your input!!

With my DS I didn't have a show and my waters just broke. Had a emergency c-section with him because he was breech.

On Sunday I was having contractions 10mins apart and went to the hospital and they gave me the choice to either stay over night or come home. So I came home. Nothing happened yesterday ... just started to have my show and then this morning it was a real mucus blob. Which was unusual for me because I haven't had any discharge.
I've been having lots of tightenings this afternoon but no really painful contractions.

Either way this kid is being born on the 30th Sept because I'm booked for a c-section that morning. So if nothing happens in the meantime! But kinda looks like it's headed that way!! :O

Will keep you all up-to-date!

MissieK - They say not to ring about the show as it doesn't really mean that your in labour right now. But if my waters break I need to ring!!

Phew - I'm still holding my breath!

I had a show with my first - From memory it was about 9.30 in the morning and my waters ended up breaking at 9.15pm that night.

I also had a show with my second and was already 4cm. This was around 7.00pm. I ended up going through full labour and they finally decided to break the waters when I was 10cm (at 2.50 the next morning).

Am also wathcing this thread and eagerly awaiting news - Best of luck with everything :D

Up-date

No baby yet ...having little pains but nothing regular. I guess they are just braxton hicks.

I'm so tired ... just want to have this baby now!! I know things don't get much better on the tired side of things but my back, hips and groin just HURT!! ;( So atleast that will stop!!

I'm 38wks today!! I was 38wks and a couple of days when my waters broke with my first son so hopefully things will happen at the same time with this pregnancy!!

Hope you are all well ... thanks for the best wishes!!

I remember how frustrating the last couple of weeks are. I hope you don't have to wait too much longer (well, either way, only 8 days until your c-section but s/he might come earlier!)

The waiting at the end is the worst isn't it. I went about 2 weeks over with all 3, but I still always hoped i'd go early, or atleast on time.

Surely can't be long now Angela :)

Don't you love all the ideas people tell you to help things along...someone told me that if you eat curry, and drink wine, on a full moon it's a sure fire way to bring on labour  :Hehe: shame we just had one.

Morning Girls!!

I'm still here in ONE piece!! :O

Getting sick of the waiting game as everyone puts it!! Either way I only have to wait till this time next week!! Which is kinda shocking!!

Got a bit teary the other day thinking about everything ... this is my last baby so I kept thinking about how this will be the last time i'll have these movements etc. And how over the next few months the lack of sleep will be heaps of fun :argh:

I went into labour early with DS so I was hoping the same with this one ... it was about 38wks with him. So that's now!! Hint hint kido ... it's time!!

Have been feeling pretty :eww: in the last few days. Bit like the morning sickness has returned!! But I'm sure this has something to do with my cold coming back. I'm on anitbotics again ... just because I want to get rid of it before the birth!!

I hope you girls don't mind me going on about this ... it really helps with the thought process for me! I'm still worried about the c-section but I think that's more to do with what I'm going to be able to cope with after. Worried about being able to look after mr 2.5yr and a baby!!

Hope everyone is great!!

Sorry this is a ME thread again > it kinda gets like that when your pregnant!! Can't wait to post a thread about the new baby!!
