Hi Girls,
My daughter is getting married next year and I thought you might be interested in how the plans were coming along.
The date for the wedding has been set -
14th October 06
Sirromet Winery,
Mt Cotton. Qld.
The Winery is situated in a pretty rural area with views of Redland Bay. The Wedding ceremony will be in a chapel built on the edge of a lagoon covered with water lilies.

Fingers crossed they are in full bloom on the day. After the ceremony, there will be a wine and cheese tasting (or soft drink, tea & coffee) whilst Erin & Gavin have photo's taken. One of Erin's clients is a photographer (she did all the photography for BB5) and has offered to do her wedding at a special price. Erin is going to have wedding photo's taken in the huge wine cellar and in the vineyards, so she should get some really spectacular photo's.
The menu has been chosen, but I won't bore you with that unless you are interested. We've had several meals at Sirromet and really pleased with the level of service and quality of their meals. Erin is having candelabras with grape vines entwined as table centre pieces.

A wine glass with several heart shaped chocolates will be the bombardiers for the guests to complete the Winery Theme.
Erin's wedding dress has been ordered and will be ready early December.
It's couture, full skirt, no lace or sequins, strapless, lots of layers of chiffon and a cathedral veil. I took some photo's with my phone to show you but they are too tiny to really see much, so you will have to wait - I'll take a photo when the dress is ready so you can have a sneak peek then.
Last Wednesday we went on the hunt for bridesmaid dresses with Gav's sister, who will be her Matron of Honour. The first dress she tried on was perfect! She tried on another dress, but Erin was so happy with the first one, she decided not to confuse the issue by looking at too many dresses. So next Friday, all the bridesmaids (4) are going for a fitting and ordering the dresses.
Erin has picked out the shirts, vests and ties for the Groom/men. The boys can go off to be fitted a few weeks before the wedding.
We went shopping last week and Erin spent ages selecting a range of papers, cards, ribbons etc to make her own wedding invitations. She is going to put magnets on the back so people can pop them on their fridge. I have them all sitting here with instructions for me to start cutting - how did I know LMAO
Cake & Flowers have not yet been organised. Erin will probably have Roses and a traditional wedding cake.
Erin's Nanna & Papa (my mum & dad) will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary exactly 4 weeks prior (14th sept), so Erin is going to have a special cake and announce their anniversary as a surprise for them at her wedding reception.
So, as you can see, she is a very organised girl :D
