Has anyone read this book, or seen the movie???
Clancy's class is reviewing it, well the teacher is reading it to them to review. She wants to show the class the movie but because it is rated PG she needs permission first. I haven't seen or read it. Any views or comments would be welcome. The permission slip is due back ASAP.

If its the story I remember Yo..it involves time travel and such and can get quite complicated in parts...I think it is recommended for around 12 to 16 year olds..how old is Clancy?

Sorry I couldnt be much help...I remember Cal doing it but I have no idea where the book is now...I hope he enjoys it though.

I do know it is set in Sydney.

Yes Patricia that is the one, Clancy will be 12 this year. Will have to do more google searches for reviews. We did a quick one but it ony gives what the story is about.

I remember reading it and watching the film at school when I was about 13. I remember really enjoying it. I think that the permission slip would just be a formality because it is PG and the school probably wouldn't show it if they thought it was inappropriate. It has been in the school system for quite a while now (We studied it 15 years ago!!) So I dont think you really have much too worry about. oh.. and I love the name Clancy.. it's so cool!

Go to www.imdb.com and they should have a review there.

The teacher wouldn't recommend it unless they thought it was appropriat e- but they can't show it without your permission if it is PG. Maybe ring the school and talk to the teacher - they'll be able to explain why it is PG - ie, what themes, language, etc.

We studied it when we were 13 and it was great. It was one of my favourite books actually - but haven't seen the movie

well I got the book from the library today, someone had beat me to the dvd. So if I'm not around this weekend you know why. I know Clancys teacher and she wouldn't show anything she shouldn't.
