I have hated them with a passion all my life. I remember as a small girl, my Dad wearing knee high ugg boots...in public...im am mentally scared for life.
If you wear them in the privacy of your own home, that is fine..but in public :faint: oh god please no!
Jake bought himself some tonight , I cannot stand to even look at them. He is threatening if I do not meet his demands...that he will wear them out of the house..I may have to feed them to the dog
Do you love them or loathe them?
I love them for keeping my footsies warm but I WONT wear them out in public!!!!

I love them and I wear them all over town, :hehe: but then again it is only a small town. There is a lot worse than me wearing ugg boots around this town believe me. LMAO

I love them and I wear them in public :hehe: mine are only ankle ones and they are fairly well concealed under my trackies or jeans :hehe: My mum and dad used to both wear them back in the 80's over their jeans and up to the knees so I too am not into that particular style :hehe:

i think they are good slippers but, people seem to not lift their feet properly in them, you know, the seem to drag their feet

I agree Di..I hate the way people slop along in them...drives me insane.
Saying that I also have ankle ones as slippers for the occasional cool morning :P

I have some trendy kneee length blue ones but do not leave the house with them on mainly for the reason i am one of these ppl who cant lift my feet properly in them as my hubby brought them for me when i was pregnant with emmy but they are about 2 sizes to big.:)

I have some but only wear when I go to Glen Innes in winter:yes: and if I was to wear in town down there it doesnt matter no one knows me and it is a country town and lots of people wear them.
What about the young girls who wear them with a mini skirt in public:hehe:

I had a really nice pair of knee length ugg boots when I was about 14 and I would wear them everywhere. I only have a pair of slipper ones now and I wouldn't be seen dead wearing them out of the house.
I just had a look on their website and they have some really nice pairs now.
Like these ones....

I'd wear these out, but only under jeans or pants.

I'm wearing mine right now but then I'm allowed to because I'm at home and no one can see. :P
I saw a very very peculiar sight last night when I was on campus. Young girl, probably maybe 18. She was wearing a belt (okay, miniskirt but so mini it could have been a belt LMAO) and a boob tube. Then these big huge fluffy boot things, like ugg boots only inside out so all the fluffy stuff is on the outside IYKWIM. And because it was a little chilly, a big huge trench coat but only covering the arms because the wrap around tie at the waist was tied in a knot around the coat but behind her back so that we could all see her idea of fashion. LMAO
And all the time, she's sipping on her coffee and saying how cold it is.

I love mine, but don't wear them out in public :hehe:
I love them, just don't have a pair at the mo.
I use to wear my everywhere, I didn't care what people thought.
I use to wear mine with my mini shirt (when I was able to wear one), baggy jumper and leg warmers. I don't think I looked silly.

BrissyGal, see those aren't so bad. They aren't really traditional ugg boots..so you would be safe in those..still think they wouldn't go so well with the mini skirt tho :hehe: and for $400US..think I will pass!
I'm so pleased to hear most of you don't let them out in public (or in public where people know you :hehe:)

I have a pair of purple ankle ones. I have been known to sneak out in them on a cold winter night when I have needed to pick up children or hubby from somewhere. My children are mortified when I do this. (I think that is why I do it!)

I've always liked them but have never owned a pair. I have wanted to buy some but have just never felt comfortable in them to actually buy them. I'll just stick with my thongs :hehe:
I have the ankle high ones and I do wear them out in public. Well, to pre school, the grocery store and places like that. I wouldn't wear them anywhere fancy or anything though.

Yes.. Have mine on now, have always had a pair. I will wear them to the local shops, if it's cold out. Would not wear them to the major shopping mall though.
Rachael..We used to wear them in the seventies, only back then they used to be real sheepskin from "Skinnys". (That was in Sydney).:D

Oh My God, Ugg Boots. Not on these tooties thanx. When I was a teenager they were all the rage and I used to call em Bogan Boots cause all the non treandy, flannie wearing, long hair boys used to wear em. So being the trendy upmarket girl that I aspired to be there was no way you were getting me into em. But I must admitt I occassionally slip into my partners now and again when it's cold.

they are so expensive, so i don't have a pair. i have to admit, that my sister had a pair of knock offs and i wore them constantly last year..only because they were so warm and she stole my other boots from me! i didn't like them though..i felt a bit funny wearing them and they were a size too big for me! :hehe: so i guess i'm not crazy about them and don't have issues with it. i don't see how parents can buy there toddlers UGGS when they are so expensive here! but then again 7 year olds already have cell phones and laptops these days! and i have to agree with girls wearing them with tiny skirts and whatnot. that drives me crazy..no fashion sense. why wear a boot that's supposed to keep you warm with a skirt?! doesn't make sense to me..
Cherie

I don't think they are all that expensive here Kiki, There are a lot of different types on the market here as well.
Aussies are a weird mob, we would wear them with anything. :D

oh ok..they are here. i don't think i'd pay a couple hundred for them..maybe they are that expensive since they are made in australia? (right?) alot of people wear them..i rather buy myself a nice winter coat and boots to match for $200! IMO of course..plus, i don't really like the way they look with skirts..i like the way the tight knee high boots look with skirts. and i think only a few people can really look good in uggs. but again, my opinion, lol.

I used to loathe the look of ugg boots..
Until I bought a pair at Big W about 2 months ago. They are knee high and have fluffy bits - they're quite trendy!
I would never dare wear them in public though!!!! They are sooo great inside, especially when it gets down to 3 degrees inside! I occassionally wear them while driving if I don't need to get out anywhere...

Hey there ladies!!
I love love love uggs! They are perfect for me up at college because I hate to get ready so I always just slip those babies on and I never have to worry about my feet getting cold in the snow! What I love best about them is that I can wear them with sweats or even a casual dress!
I own them in Grey paisley print, and all brown chocolate.
Does anyone have any cute unique ones? I want to pick up some newbies for fall!
thanks :)

ugg boots are alright around the house... i have a dressy pair (if you can call them that) they are down up like a boot and have laces and stuff all the way up. A zip on the side and they finish at the knees with 1cm of fluff around the top. I wear them out with my jeans shopping.. only ever casual though i would never wear them going out somewhere nice though!!!
