Hi all
We only have 19 shopping days left (according to the ticker thingie down the bottom) :argh: and I've done a majority of mine today with Mum. I bought way too much AGAIN. I think Big W and Target are the best places to shop. Does anyone else have preferences? When do you do your shopping? Do you leave it til last minute or get it early?

SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH wash your mouth out woman!! LOL
I have done all my kids shopping, but it's all in laybys yet to be paid off. It's a start at least. We only buy for immediate family, so the rest shouldn't be too bad.
I like Target and Kmart for the kids stuff. Though our local Big W has been renovated and I got a fair bit there this year. I have a laybys at all 3.
I was hesitant to put one on at Kmart after the hell of last year. Jake was in the line for 2hrs waiting to pick it up (2 weeks before Xmas) We were lucky and ours wasn't held off site, and they hadn't lost it. But so many other people had lost their whole laybys, they just couldn't find them.
Every year I say we have to start early. But never do. Every year gets so much more expensive tho.

Oops shouldn't have said the 19 days bit, ignore it :jump: yes I quite agree with you that it gets expensive every year. I spent more than I should but oh well. Christmas comes only once a year (thank goodness) I only buy for immediate family too.

All done and will wrap them tomorrow, went to QLD for the weekend and went to Eumundi Markets (fantastic) got my sister, brother in law, step-mother, dad, my ex's family (nephews) and a few things for friends etc...
What a great place...wish we had that in NSW, sure we have markets all over Sydney but not the same...man it is so hot in QLD...nearly melted today, went on a river cruise of Brisbane River...then had lunch at South Bank...has school holidays started yet? Lots of kids around?
Had the best weekend ever, wedding was just gorgeous and people are just so friendly in QLD, I can see why people leave NSW, lifestyle is truely fantastic...

We have got pretty much everyone else's presents except for our boys. We have only got a few things for their stockings but that's it.
I am probably going to have to run around like a mad woman on all next week LMAO
I've done a list, but that's it

BIG FAT NO!
I have told everyone that due to huge house expenses we will NOT be buying any xmas gifts this year and everyone was ok with this except for Adam's sister. She was very hurt by it apparently. OMG she is a 36 year old woman ...get over it!
Callum has scored pretty well lately with a new computer and we have just bought a large above ground pool too so I think some clothes will do him. Adam and I have decided not to buy gifts for each other this year and will buy a nice outdoor setting instead. But by God I had better get a bloody good birthday present on xmas eve or heads will roll..:jump: LMAO
Speaking of the big birthday..Callum has planned a party for me...sent out all the invites but without a date on them ...I knew nothing about the party at this stage (we were in the shed) and Adam was getting calls on his mobile saying...'whens the party??' I could have choked Cal...guess he means well.
Sorry this thread is about shopping not you PATRICIA!
Oh dear! Running out of time rapidly!!! I guess I have probably got about half of it done. I did get two more today, but still got quite a few to go, and I haven't started wrapping yet!!! :(
