There's just too much in life to like!

The duck confit at my favourite restaurant outside Melbourne is pretty special.

I'm bit of the simple one with food too. I'm happy with chops, mash and peas.

We have a BBQ place here that makes the best pulled pork sandwiches. They're my favorite! They are soooooo good! BUT if I make them at home they are just that much better! My hubby will eat anything I cook (excluding scalloped potatoes) but his favorite is this recipe I found (don't remember what it's called) but it's the perfect man meal. It has onion, beef, bacon and BEER! He loves it! So if I spend a little too much money one day that's what I make for supper cuz he won't care about anything else. :)

I'm a food fan. A few of my favourites are: Chocolate. Most vegies: baked, steamed, mashed or in salad. Fruit: good bananas, good pears, rockmelon, granny smith or pink lady apples. Nuts: cashews, macadamias, almonds, coconut...all sorts! Chocolate. Good rump steak - medium rare. Baked diners with gravy (and dessert). Soup: lots of different sorts. Did I say chocolate? :d:

Have you got all day? :hehe: It's a big list.

Fish and chips with white vinegar and plenty of lemon, fresh cooked bread with fresh prawns, avocado and pasta salad, roast beef with red wine gravy and plenty of roast vegies, a really good steak with vegies, virtually anything sweet, anything on the menu at La Porchetta (except the one with baby octopus in it :eww:), most Mexican dishes, some very mild curries, porridge on cold winter mornings drizzled with honey, any kind of chocolate, white, milk or dark, Chinese, Thai and pub counter food from any pub in Tasmania.

I still think though that my most enjoyable meal was a bacon wrapped eye fillet steak (medium) on a bed of mash potatoes smattered in mushroom sauce with vegies on the side. It was absolutely delish!!! :D

Regarding the baby octopus, I was once sent a joke email of an Asian family eating baby octopus on a stick. They were still alive and they ate them still kicking, err squirming. :eww: I've not been able to look at a baby octopus since although my sister assures me it's quite tasty.

I hardly ever have dinner parties....we just eat out a lot with friends. :D
