Yesterday I went to a posh joint for lunch. (It was an all you can eat buffet lunch at The Windsor Hotel in Melbourne.) They had soup which I had because it was cold. I told the soup man that one ladle was enough (I wanted to leave room for better things you see). It was darn fantastic - cream of cauliflower soup with blue cheese through it.:d: I barely had any prawns and smoked salmon as I went back for more soup later (not the done thing I know but I didn't care). Again, I said to the soup man "1 ladle please". He musn't have wanted to see me again as he gave me 2 ladles!!

One day I'll get hooked on exercise instead of dining out......

I just had some Yarra Valley Dairy "Persian Fetta" marinated in herbs and olive oil. Drool, dribble, drool, drool......

Soft cheese in many forms. Having avoided it while pregnant, I think I've made up for the past nine months in the last 3 weeks ... I wasn't eating it in the delivery room but certainly was the next day at home :d: (also discovered Hugo has a bit of a taste for expensive soft cheeses :brow:)

Seeing as all my food lately is low fat and pretty much low taste I won't add anything to the list.

But..I did want to say that I remember going to stay at the 'Windsor' as a kid, my grandparents came too and it still makes me smile to remember my grandmothers antics. My Nan always lugged around this huge handbag, you know the type that has everything in there but the kitchen sink. The bell-boy approached us to carry our luggage up to our rooms and tried to take Nan's huge monstrosity to carry that for her as well. Of course that didn't go down to well and she started slapping at his hands saying,"Get your hands off my purse young man!"
It was hilarious as the poor boy had no idea that this almost overnight bag size thing was actually a handbag.

Nice to think about it now probably over 30 years later and still be able to laugh :)

Patricia - that's a lovely story about your nanna. It made me smile.

Truth - the Yarra Valley Dairy "Persian Fetta in fine herbs and oil" comes in a tin....I didn't make it up myself. I purchased a 250gm tin (combined weight) for $9.50 through a wholesale distributor. It is darn expensive but SOooooo good.

The baked camembert I did was poked with garlic, sprinkled with some herbs and then drizzled with red wine then popped in the oven for about 20mins
Spread on some torn fresh crusty bread was yummmmmy

how is it done with the cranberry sauce Heather Ann?

I am about to eat a Milky Bar with cookies and cream - my stomach is going to hate me for it afterwards.

I'm thinking along the lines of Di's response...I had a Snickers today and it was devine...I haven't eaten chocolate in about three months and it was such a treat :)

As for all those cheeses i think they are gross and they smell even worse...Summer is into them though, and she will buy her own and have them on water crackers...makes me want to puke but she likes it :)
