Marty and Jess — the two contestants of the second Big Brother series who had their own reality show covering their wedding - have split after 15 months of marriage.

The couple met as housemates in the Gold Coast house of the Ten Network's 2002 series, later starring in Marty and Jess: An Outback Wedding.

Jessica Hardy said the pair rushed into marriage amid a storm of publicity but were now amicably parting ways.

"We just decided to part ways because we were living different lives," Hardy told the The Daily Telegraph newspaper.

Michelle, do you read Who magazine...

Every week there is some couple who has split or on the verge of splitting etc.

Just look at Jessica and Nick...

I guess you have to look at couples in Hollywood that don't flaunt there relationships in public, like Meryl Streep, Dustin Hoffman, Paul Newman (married to Joanne Woodward for over 40 years) sure they are all older, but they do keep to themselves. Mel Gibson and his wife have 7 children and have also been married for over 20 years. Cate Blanchett is a classic example she keeps to herself and manages to get the job done. (but then she is a true blue aussie) unlike Nicole (whom we call our own even though she was born in Hawaii).

But then Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick have been together a long time, as have Felicity Huffman (she is the "mum with triplets" in Desperate Houswives and is married to William H Macy 14 years I think I read somewhere). Billy Crystal, Steve Martin, John Travolta, they all are still married and seem to have no problems...

Not sure about this Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman, apparantly she is pregnant...

I wonder if Heath Ledger will marry Michelle (?) now that they have had Matilda...;)

Alexa, I occasionally read the mags, only when I'm desperate to fill in time!!

You're right about those couples that have been together for ages, they seem to be the celebrities that don't party hard, belong to a stupid religious sect or do things at a whime like Tom and Katie.

Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson are a classic example of it all too.
They rushed into marriage, twice and she lives her whole life through publicity so that's gotta hurt a person's private life and take away any credibility, I'm sure she's got some somewhere!

Paris Hilton is another one, how can anyone take a girl like that seriously??
She's pathetic and is involved with so many men, it's rediculous.
I'm sure she doesn't acctually know what falling inlove means, she seems to be inlove with everyone she hooks up with.

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher...yep another weird couple...

So true about Pamela Anderson...yuck.

And Paris and Nicky Hilton, what a joke of an existence...the Simple Life, oh please, they are just beyond normal, in any way, shape or form...

The thing is that we read all this trash about them and people make millions off them (ie the photographers and mags etc and talk back shows etc) Why are we so obsessed with knowing what these people do???
