Today I went to target with the intention of updating some of my wardrobe. I was shocked to see that plain old track pants were $30 on sale! :uhno: Now call me old fashioned but i think that is a bit rich.
I will have a look at Best and Less or K-mart tomorrow as I'm sure they will be a bit cheaper there

I have noticed that Target are not as cheap as they used to be....their prices started to rise when they were taken over by the Coles Myer group.
Wrong time to buy them anyway....but I'm just as bad....only have two pairs for around the house and didn't get my act together to buy more after last winter sales.

I was in Big W last night and they have track top and bottoms for $8.00 each, and the end of the sleeves were nicely finished.

They had dark purple, hot pink, black, grey and navy, both in tops and bottoms, they also had skivvy's on special for $6.00, and yes there were all sizes, from 8 to 16.

They also had polar fleece tops, but they were in two colour tones.

Big W seems to be having a bit of a mid year sale as well, I got some spencers (by Jockey) for $6.00.

If they're just for wearing around the house, I'd go with Big W, they seem to be the cheapest IME, but the quality is sometimes a bit iffy (tend to pill a bit). Or if you want to spend a bit more, they sell Bonds, and their prices are cheaper than Myer, Target etc.

I agree with Target being expensive ... I almost never go there now because it's so badly merchandised and for the $ I'd rather go to Myer and get a decent brand for about the same price (for kids clothing).

yes Naomi i have noticed the same thing i would rather Myer to Target & Myer have great sales & i have to admit, it feels so much nicer to say "i got it from Myer" then Target lol

There is no way I would pay that much for trackies either, I usually get mine from Big W or Best and Less.
I very rarely shop at Target anymore, I find them too expensive and not as good quality as they used to be.

I've really gone off Target's clothes lately. I used to buy just about all my casual clothes there a few years back but haven't bought anything for a few seasons. I still shop there for Matt but only during their sales.

I'd never pay more than $15 for a pair of track pants...if you want to look nice in public and you're cold, why wouldn't you just put on a pair of jeans or wear a pair of tights. :dk:

I just don't understand the concept of track pants as a fashion style, other than for exercising or lounging round the house etc. :dk:

I bought a pair of tracky pants today for $12 and I thought that was okay. It was from a little cheap shop in The Entrance.
I must admit, I am exactly the same. I would not ever pay $30 for something that I would wear around the house, for when I am having a 'can't be bothered day!!'

I know its not the right time to buy track pants but the ones i have now i got because they had a larger drawstring waist and i was pregnant at the time lol. i went to best and less an gt 2 pairs for $26 and they are good enough to wear in public if i need to. I need to have them taken up about 2 inches but thats normal for me lol. I dont usually go to target but DF wanted to go to the dvd sale. I think i was more shocked by the price because the week before i got a wool blend coat for $40 from a kmart sale.

I paid around $15 for the last 2 pairs of trackies I brought, each though, they were from best and less and are ok to wear out of the house
