Floods still threaten Victorian towns

My heart goes out to anyone suffering the floods....hope all the pets and livestock are OK.

My cousins all live in Lakes Entrance. The last I heard from them was just before the floods hit but they havent had power since then. They live right on top of a hill so I assume the floods wont reach them - but they would be totally cut off. Their business is in town on sea level so I imagine its been totally flooded.

I hope these people are able to dry out and clean up very quickly. My SIL and her family live at Lakes, we haven't heard from them, but I know when we were flooded over the long weekend we had heaps of problems with the phones for days.

I hope your rellies are ok Mel. I havent heard from my lot either but I figure with no power its a bit difficult to recharge mobiles etc. And I guess they have a lot more important things on their minds so I dont expect to hear from them for a while longer.

Hope your rellies are safe too KJ, and you just reminded me when we had no power I took my mobile and the charger cord everywhere we went just in case someone had power:hehe: our power went out on Friday morning and I wasn't able to get through to my mum in Sydney until the Monday night and she had been trying to ring me the whole time.
