lol well silly bloody Maggie was bouncing around her & she wanted to eat but she was funny she has'nt moved all day poor darling so i gave hre her tea & she would'nt eat so i started to hand feed her the lamb in small bits & honestly it was like baby bits but if it was bigger then half a pea she would just sit it beside her bowl, we have been sitting with her almost all day just patting & cuddling her she seems to just love the human conection but does'nt feel that she can come to us but the lady assures me that thats just Margot, she is so gentle but it was funny she was hiding under the table from Maggie but when Maggie looked like getting near Margot's tea she gave a little woof lol

thanks girls all i can do is smile when i look at her i know i have said it before but she is so gentle & perfect, now don't go thinking i am having a favourite i still love Maggie just as much it's just that the 2 of them remind me & hubby so much of our last 2 cavaliers Princess was 4 yrs old ( same as Margot ) & then we got Duchess thinking a puppy would bring our gentle Princess out of her shell well it did'nt work like that, poor Princess used to hide her head under furniture to get away from Duchess who harrassed her for at least 6 yrs & honestly in the 8 yrs that we had the 2 dogs our beautiful Princess never once played with or looked at Duchess lol our Vet said Princess just wanted to be an only child & you know she never once growled or got cranky with Duchess she just kept her back to her but Margot is used to puppy's being silly so she just might keep Maggie in place we will wait & see

Margot is a beautiful girl, Di, you lucky thing to get her. She is lucky as well. She will get used to maggie hopefully. I laughed out loud when I saw that 2nd picture of her, she looks so sad and sorry for herself....

Di she is just wonderful.
I don't agree with your husband though, her ears are nothing like yours. I think her ears are much prettier.

Mad Old Cow
04-07-2007, 09:26 PM
Oh very funny yoyo actually you are right though her ears are stunning

Heather
04-07-2007, 09:32 PM
You and Klaus are very lucky indeed...and I really hope that the two of them will become best mates...like my Rosie and Lewis.
What is it that you have tied around her head?
I had a neighbour who used to pull a Balaclava over his Afghans heads' so that their ears would not get grotty when they fed...very sensible idea.

i forget what she called it H but it's like a short plastic bag holder i guess she said she put's it on her everytime she eats which is a good idea

05-07-2007, 05:56 AM

What about, they ley you tie their ears back when their eating, and they don't rip it off. Or when you are hand feeding them, they don't push your hand away..:jump: . Sorry, just thinking of my 22 month old, not that I hand feed her- she's too head strong for that!!0:)

Stormy
05-07-2007, 09:37 AM
Cripes please don't put a dress on her and makeup just to prove your point Di LMAO

I'm sure one day you will capture her happy face. All dogs have them, even bloodhounds and my dad used to say that bloodhounds were the saddest dogs that ever were.

Sad face or not, she is beautiful. :D

Mad Old Cow

Aww Di she is so cute, I like the way you tied her ears so they don't get messy when she eats. She has those beautiful brown eyes, and when they look at you, you melt don't you Di.

Supa

Di does she have an igloo to sleep in too? what colour are the girls beds??

Mad Old Cow
06-07-2007, 09:50 PM
no Margot does'nt have an igloo she's a big girl the lady lent me a carry cage thing aparently she lept in that of a night at her place but! she likes the leather lounge chair lol i know i had said no bloody dogs alowed on the furniture anymore but she is so quiet i feel sorry for her lol, she has a pink blanket & a yellow one
Maggie her igloo is brown & cream the only colour they had but she sleeps in it of a night beside my bed lol

Supa
06-07-2007, 10:05 PM
cool thanks Di, know what you mean about setting rules & then letting the babies break them :hehe:

Mad Old Cow
07-07-2007, 08:00 AM
I got up thismorning & Margot was on the other bloody lounge chair lol she's not doing too bad considering that she was an outside dog a few day's ago
she has still only eaten about a tablespoon of food & thats because GD hand fed her last night i have been taking the water bowl to her so she would drink i even went as far as to tell her about my mum & what happened to her because she did'nt drink. this is day 4 so i really think she will be okay just that she is such a quiet dog & naturally everthing is different for her.

Stormy
07-07-2007, 08:16 AM
I think she will start eating again when she feels settled in her new environment. Rosie was off her feed for a little bit when we brought her home but cripes if you could see her now....she's probably loving her food a bit too much. :hehe: I'd try handfeeding some kibble to her wherever she is and then popping the bowl next to her. :)

Mad Old Cow
07-07-2007, 03:01 PM
was it me that said no animals on furniture anymore? well noe Margot has moved from the leather chairs to the reclyner ( she is like the kids she just won't listen to me lol )http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa159/Newdi/Margotonchair.jpg

Mad Old Cow
07-07-2007, 05:08 PM
Maggie is good lol she knows she won't be boss of Margot
Hubby said he was standing with the door open for Maggie to go outside & she was just standing looking outside but not moving next thing Margot came from no where snuck up behind her & gave a close bark at Maggies butt & Maggie flew out of the door lol he said it looked so funny & Margot just turned around & went & sat oin the chair so it will be fun & games here for some time to come

Heather
07-07-2007, 05:10 PM

Dont worry Di we have animals on our lounge all the time I gave up trying to keep them off as long as we keep the place clean I suppose.
We get to much enjoyment out of them dont we!

Mad Old Cow

Jen the problem is Margot won't move off the chairs, she still not really eating but at least now she is drinking the lady said she is very slow eating but she will have to learn to be fast because Maggie is quick lol

jenr
09-07-2007, 03:29 PM
Thats it Di if she realises that she is missing out because she is not fast enough she will learn and then you will have a feeding frenzy on your hands!
Jen

Little Lucy is hardly eating anything they said that dry biscuits Ekubra should be enough for pups she only has a couple and thats it she is 7 weeks old?
She has a vet appt on Wednesday I will talk to them about it?
