Hi All,

I haven't been to the movies for nearly two years now. Yes, I have been hiding inside a cave. LOL. I just find it hard making time to go to the movies. Don't worry I do treat myself with shopping spree every now and then, so please do not feel sorry for me.

Anyway, now I feel like going to the movies once again. Any movies you will like to recommend? Has anyone seen Chronicles of Narnia? Is this movie worth breaking my movie drought?

Cheers,
Maria

Maria

You have hit the jackpot...now is the right time to go to the movies...I saw Narnia on Boxing Day and last night I saw King Kong both fab (sorry but I am a movie buff) I love them all (except horror). (Though I got dragged to see Wolf Creek and well I spent alot of the movie with my eyes closed)

Some weeks I go twice a week, waiting to see Rumour Has It with Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Costner and Shirley McLane, seeing this weekend, Just Like Heaven...then Family Stone with Sarah Jessica Parker and Diane Keating...summer is the best time to go as we get all the American stuff, then there is Oscar time...

Also love the art house movies...Joyeoux Noel, is a beautiful film....Look Both Ways, Oyster Farmer, Little Fish, these are not really art movies as such but Australian movies that I highly recommend...

My ideal job would be a movie critic...image being paid to go to the movies...that would be heaven...

Narnia was fab, it is well worth your money...not quite as good as Lord as the Rings but still very good...let me know what you think...I loved the fact they didn't use big name actors.

Do you like girlie movies or something with guts and story to it...

Thank you Alexa! I am hoping to watch Narnia next week and hopefully King Kong as well. See how I go...

I do love all kinds of movie genre except Horror and Sci-fi.I can't stand watching Horror movies. What's the point for paying a movie when you can't follow the plot as you spend most of the time with your eyes shut? As for Sci-Fi, I don't get it at all.

We saw Narnia with the boys a couple of days ago. I think they were a bit young - Zaccy slept through it & Nat got bored half way through - the movie was fantastic!

We are off to see Narnia tomorrow morning (going to gold class with the boys to see it).

We were going to see Harry Potter but my eldest went with a friend last week.

Can't wait - have had our gold class tickets for 5 months waiting for a decent movie that the boys can see so I hope it is worth it.

Sounds as though it will be. . .

The movie was great.

It was the first time we have been to Gold Class as well so it was very 'ooh-la-la' first thing in the morning  .

The boys enjoyed it as well AND only 1 toilet break for DS2 but of course, hubby has to take them. Sometimes I like having boys :Hehe:

We went to the movies for the first time since moving to NZ just before Christmas, to see the latest Harry Potter movie, and I loved it! :jump:

I did want to see Narnia, but we couldn't fit it in, so plan to go the next time we go to Nelson. :) I wouldn't mind seeing King Kong either. Anyone else been to see that yet?

No, not yet. We did talk about it though but the boys wanted to see Narnia more. We probably won't get a chance now and will have to wait until it is out on DVD.

We saw Narnia on the weekend. Not really for smaller kids, they were bored after 15mins LOL
Hayden got scared playing King Kong on xbox, not sure he'd go so well with the movie LOLOL

Hi all, the talk of all these movies really makes me want to go watch one on the big screen! A friend told me on the weekend that Narnia was superb, so I'd like to go see that.

I've been dvd'ing it a fair bit lately, so popping out for the whole movie experience will be a good thing.

I remember reading the Narnia books as a child so it brought back some good memories - a real family movie. I only manage to get out to the mother and baby sessions of the movies these days but amazingly my daughter is still managing to sleep through them and she is 9 months old.
