TV's Beast Stan Zemanek dies

TELEVISION host and radio shock jock Stan Zemanek, who made his name as a personality listeners loved to hate, has died of a brain tumour in Sydney at the age of 60.

Stan died early this morning after battling brain cancer for the last year.

Rest in peace Stan, you will be sorely missed.

Lots of people only saw him as the shock jock that he portrayed on his radio and tv shows, but underneath he was a committed family man whose generosity knew no bounds. When people were really down on their luck Stan was always there with his hands out to help where he could.

I for one will miss you Stan. Sleep peacefully......:fairy:

Stan, you will be so missed my your many fans, colleagues, friends and family.
The Zemanek family can now have peace knowing that your anguish is over and that so many respected you for being unassuming, unpretentious, generous and kind. There is one less celebrity now who can generate so much professionalism with so much ease.
