We took our tree down the day after boxing day. I can still see a few trees up as we are driving past houses though.
My parents take there tree down on boxing day, my sister takes her tree down new years day.
When do you take your tree down? Is there a specific day or date?

Traditionally you're meant to take them down on the day the wise men were meant to visit - I think that's 12 days after Christmas.
I think I'll take mine down tonight after the boys are asleep.

We decided not to put one up this year as Izzy seems to grab a hold of everything but then we decided to have hubby's family Chrissy at our place so we had to put the tree up on Christmas Day about 10mins before they arrived (6pm) and then hubby took it down after everyone left (10pm) because he couldn't see the TV :jump: Well...at least our Chrissy tree got some air....4 hours of it lol!!
When i lived at home with my parents i'd be the one to put the Chrissy tree up on 1st December and then take it down on New Years Day!! Dunno why i done it that way but i did.....I'm still into it now but decided that 1 year without it wouldn't hurt...especially if it meant that we'd still have the same Chrissy tree next year and not have to buy another one if Iz got to it and ripped it apart lol...no she wouldn't do that...i was more worried about it falling on her if she pulled at it.

I bought a tree in the sales -:jump: very excited... got it for a bargin (like about 75% off) not too tall but it looks good as I got it out at home and it has plenty of branches...very happy, only got to wait 11 months to use it!!!
I think a month would be enough...
We will turn around and:yes it will be Valentines day next (then Easter)...

I had every intention of mine coming down yesterday but it's still proudly adorning our loungeroom. In fact, if I leave it a bit longer it will just look like it belongs and I'll never need to take it down.

Epiphany or 12th night is the traditional day - it was celebrated on Friday :)
