and how many times?

I have them pierced once. Dunno why I bother as I rarely change earrings. LOL Shame too as I have been given some nice earrings as gifts over the years.

I do. I used to have 3, well I guess they are still there. It was the thing to do, one was a home job :O
I only wear one set now, and I never change them. Just plain gold sleepers. I just never think to buy earings. I don't like dangley ones. But if I had other ones, I would probably change them.

Ive had my ear peirced once. when I was 17. I remember just after I had them done they were so sore I went to the doctor and needed meds. He then said to me if god wanted people to have holes in their ears they would be born with them. lol

I had mine done when I was about 2 - so I don't remember it. I usually wear sleepers and occasionally other earrings. Often I don't wear any at all.

I do have 'extra' holes - one next to the 'normal' one in my right ear, and one up the top of my left ear, but I haven't worn earrings in either of those for years (was just a teenage rebellion thing. To which my mother's response was "I hope you went somewhere clean and didn't get AIDS" )

I don't have my ears peirced. My mum would never let me :( . When I was old enough I just wasn't overly interested. Sometimes I have thought about getting them done, when I see lovely earings. But the thought of the pain puts me off

i have my done twice, used to be three times but the third hole was forever painful so i took them out, i have also had my nose done twice, my eldest son knocked it out the first time and the second time it fell out so i gave up on that, and i have had my tongue done as a birthday present from my brother, he said he would pay when i wanted to get it done as he said anything that inflicted pain upon his sister was money well spent, but after an operation when i had to take all my jewerelly out it never went back in. which i was upset about and would still like to get it done, but knowing the pain of the days after it was done, is a bit of a put off ..

Argh - tongue piercing I could never do it!

I have had my ears done twice, the first time they got infected and I was so angry about it because they were fine for about 2 weeks, they hurt like hell and then they got really badly infected, bleeding and pus and all that :eww: So got it redone about 2 years later, and have had not many problems with them. Would like to get another set. I also usually wear sleepers (also because of work I have to) but I do get out the dangly ones every now and then.

I have one lot of piercings which I got done when I was 12. I didn't wear earrings for a long time because they used to get infected and then I realised that I just had crap earrings and I needed to buy better quality ones. I now tend to wear alot of different earrings and I really enjoy being 'girly'.

I bought the most beautiful 'celtic' earrings yesterday which I proudly wore around for the rest of the day.

There are only a few days when I don't wear earrings and that is when I go swimming.

I did one time, but I got into an accident. I was traveling and I was taking a walk at night. Suddenly I felt dull pain on my body. I got hit by a bicycle. I didn't get hurt, but I found that the guy on the bicycle hit the side of my face AND took off my pierce on my ear. Luckily, the pierce just came off. I had no injury. But it made me feel pretty uncomfortable as I thought about the worst case scenario. I never put my pierce back in since then.

Wow that sounds terrifying! I quite understand why you wouldn't want to put back your earring after that incident.. :(

Oh dear Linxss, It hurts enough to bit your lip, or your tounge for that matter, let alone sticking a needle through it LOL.

When Jake was in getting his tattoo, the guy had to keep stopping to do piercings on all the younge girls coming in. They were dropping like flys LOL. They guy said it was one of the parts of the job he enjoyed, watching these people who say oh yeah, I'm tough, no worries...pass out LOL

Because Erin was only 15 at the time, I had to go with her to get her body piecings. I'm the one who nearly fainted :eww: :faint:

I have had my ears pierced since I was 10 and like almost everyone else I never changed my earings very often (dont bother wearing any now!) Last year I decided to do something radical and get one ear pierced higher up than normal (very trendy...or so I thought!!) I developed an infection in my ear that then spread through my whole body. I was hospitalised and on a drip for a week. I was lucky that I didnt have to have plastic surgery to repair damage to my ear, apparently problems after piercings of this kind are more common than we would like to think. I would certainly think twice if I had known then what I know now.

Cherrelle you must be pretty good with pain!

I have 4 in one ear and 2 in the other. I didnt intend to have that many but I had to get them done once when I was at beauty school. I cant decide whether to take them all out and just have one in each or not. They are just sitting there with sleepers in them.

I also have my nose pierced which I will probably never take out. That was the most painful experience and it was bleeding for ages. Its only a small stud and I cant imagine my face without it ;)

I have my ears pierced twice at the bottom of each ear and one at the very top of my left ear. I hate the thought of the pain of having anything else pierced, but I actually have 4 tattoos, and I find them very painful and I even faint with them...god knows why I kept going back but they can be a bit addictive. People are shocked to hear that I have tattoos, cause they say I don't seem the type to have them, but the only one that can be seen when I'm dresses is on my inner ankle and I got that done a few months back. Here's a pic.

Congrats Julie you are one tough lady!!! I could never do that... and isn't the ankle one of the worst places to get in terms of pain?!?! ;) I really like the message tho :)

I didn't find the ankle to be too bad for pain actually and it only took him about 10 mins to do the actual tattoo, so it wasn't too bad. I did have to get him to stop a couple of times, because I started to feel ill, but I just needed a bit of a breather and he was able to continue. I also have a small red rose on my breast and the two pictured below....can you tell I like red roses...lol

I found the one on my lower spine to be the worst. I was sitting on a high stool and I actually fainted without warning, and hit my head and cut my hip on a glass cabinet which was beside me. Then I had to get up and let him finish and it took about 1.5 hrs to do but I insisted that he let me lie down and I was fine after that. Why that one hurt so much was because the guy had a really heavy hand and it just felt like he was digging a razor across my spine the whole time....not too pleasant but rapt with the result. With the top one, he had me sit on a dentist chair and I just lent forward and tried to read a magazine to take my mind off it, but I ended up fainting again, but at least this time I had some warning and he was able to lie me back before I went out.

The top one is a bit hard to see, but it's basically similiar to the one on my lower back...red roses and thorns.
