I just watch the red carpet stuff - other than that, they're boring.

No really & usually the only way I know it's on is if I switch channels & see it by chance. I find it too boring. Even the Logies are getting bad now.

Not really... but I did go to an Oscar's party once and the hostess told me to dress up as if I'm walking the red carpet so I sort of did... wore a fancy top with nice pants and high heels but then everyone else turned up in casual wear. Her and I were the only 2 dressed up

The thing that gets me is that they broadcast these award ceremonies at say 8.30pm but the tell you who wins in the local news at 6pm as they have been held in LA or wherever that day...I just check the web now at about 3pm and you can find the results out then...

I have never been into these award shows I find them way too boring. But a good friend is soooo obsessed with the red carpet bit she could probably tell you what everyone has worn for the last 10 years at least LMAO

Only watch them if there is nothing else on, but then I get bored with them and go to bed as they usually drag on until about 11.30pm to midnight.

I actually don't mind them. I rarely get to the end though because I fall asleep on the lounge watching them.....LOL
I am and have always been a bit of a tv addict. I love my tv shows and then i love watching who gets what for which show. Not much else you can do when you don't know anybody in town and are preggers with #4. :D

Hi everyone!

I'm new and just checking out the forum posts for things which interest me. I thought it was just *me* who thought tv last night was awful, hahaha, so I'm pleased to see I'm in good company! LOL

I did watch bits and pieces of the awards, loved seeing Anthony Hopkins. A fine actor - I do love my movies!

I usually watch a couple of dvds a week - my sister bought me a subscription at quickflix as a Chrissy prezzy, which is really cool. Like dial-a-pizza - dvds delivered to your door, makes me lazy haha.

I love the awards show and movies generally and usually get a few friends together and we all make bets on who is going to win. We have all contributed something at the start of the night and the winner gets the lot. It makes it much more enjoyable.
