to have her big operation she is due to come on season in September so i phoned the vet & she is booked in for the 8th August i feel sorry for her i hate seeing them have these big op's :headh: i know they get over it fast but still it is major i have asked that they give her a 12 month injection for heartworm to we always did it that way for Duchess incase i ever forgot to give her her monthly tablet i wanted to get Maggie the same injection but they have to be 12 months old so she stays on the tabs for a few months more, so there you go just a little update on our Margot

 Di, it's always worse for the mums! I know she'll be fine, but I also know how you feel about her going in for the operation.

Poor little mite it is for the best but it is upsetting when it has to be done. give her a big pat from me.

This will surely make her more just a loved pet than a breeding animal...it is the best for her.

oh for sure H, it's funny the lady that gave her to us did'nt give over any papers or anything even when we asked about her being microchiped incase she ever got lost or anything the lady just said she would keep all that & she would be notified if needed ( think she thought we may have planned on breeding with her or something along the lines) lol. no way, we have never bred with our Cavaliers they are purely our baby's to love & i always knew i could'nt bare to give any little ones away lol

I'm sure she will be fine - it's hard seeing them after their op with their fur shaved off and all.
Will she have to wear one of those edwardian collars [I think that’s what there called?]. I know it's not funny but I do laugh when I see them on pets.

LMAO I could just see the two of them!!! LMAO
Di talk to the vet as with her now being your dog your details should be on the microchip. Maybe the vet can help you to get it changed.

I thought she was already desexed when you got her??? Or was that Maggie?? I get confused so easily. :hehe: She'll be right as rain Di. :D
As far as the microchip goes, get the vet to scan it and he can give you the chip number. Then it's just a matter of getting a form and putting new ownership details on it and a transfer fee of $5. Did this with Rosie and Mojo.

Maggie was desexed 2 days before we picked her up
i will be mentioning to the vet about Margot & thje microchip wish Margot was desexed would save ud $200

$200?? Is that because she is older or because she has bred before?? When we got Mish spayed it was around $100 I think..

i have no idea the asked how old & then they said $200 but the RSPCA vet was going to charge $238 might be because she is older

Some breeders are funny like that Di - she will probably hand over all the papers etc once she has had the operation.
I hope the operation goes well, it's always hard to watch them go through pain but it is definitely worth it. to you and Margot for Wednesday :)
