How can you stop the next doors cat coming it to your backyard?
My cat is an indoor cat but on weekends I let her wonder in and outside but sometimes the cat next door will jump the fence and there is a terrible racket between the 2 cats and I need to go out and break it up. I don't think there is ever any contact between them just staring and weird noises coming from my Ebony.
I wish the cat next door would stop coming over so Ebony could freely come and go.
I heard putting pepper around the boundary will stop them!!!!!

paprika/pepper on the fence where it jumps over will work. It will need to be reapplied after the rain though. You can put in on the garden too whre it walks. What it does is burns the feet (in feeling). You could try sqirting it a little with water so it gets the idea not to come in.

If you have a bottle of Tabasco sauce, try sprinkling this on the areas he frequents....and as it is already a liquid, you can put a few drops into the bottle before you give it to Kekka.
I used to paint a cats plastered leg with this to stop him ripping it off....worked a treat.

Happy could you talk to your neighbours & ask them to please keep their cat in their own yard there are cat enclosures that you can buy now which is what i would have if i had a cat, nothing worse then the neighbours cats comming in & thinking they own the neighbourhood
Sorry Happy i have to tell a little story
my sister has 3 cats they were all strays & the dear old 90 yr old lady from 2 houses away used to come down & complain to my sister that her cats were up at the old ladys back yard frightening her Pigeons lol i just had to share that i thought it was cute

Thanks Heather I think I will try the tabasco sauce.
I looked into the cat enclosures but they can be very expensive and it doesn't stop other cats coming into the backyard.
There hasn't been any sight of it today and Ebony's been in and out all day today.

No - she was attacked by a dog 8 months ago and nearly died so she is too scared to go out of my backyard anymore. She's very good - just like her mummy LMAO

Sorry Happy all I can tell you is spray it with water when you see it, maybe if it gets sprayed enough it will stop coming into your yard.

We have a cat run and we live in free roaming cat city here, meaning that other people don't give two hoots about where their cats end up during the day or night. Our two never go outside except through the cat run. A few neighbourhood cats have shown interest in the cat park but after Mojo and Rosie go out and do their little war territory dance, they rarely come back. :hehe:
I think you'll find that Ebony is voicing her discontent and telling the intruder to bugger off and not come back so she has done the job for you Jac. :D I've seen this in Mojo a number of times when dogs have gotten into our yard or on the rare occasion, we have a friend's dog in our house. The hackles go up, the tail bristles then he starts singing and dancing. From then you have about 10 seconds to remove the offender before he will launch. LMAO
And I have NEVER seen a dog win over Mojo, big or small, even when he used to frequent the outdoors when he lived at my mums. It's almost like they knew he was a psycho and would follow through and rip their eyes out. :hehe:
