Last night we went to a surprise 40th for one of my girlfriends. Her husband certainly deserves a medal. We were all wondering if she would find out as nothing really gets past her and she already had told hubbie he would never be able to surprise her as she would find out somehow. Well she didn't have a clue :jump: and was absolutely blown away, her hubbie had been planning for months and she didn't have any idea. He was so organised right down to the catering to having friends direct the cars around the side of the house so she wouldn't be able to see anyone until she came right in to park the car. He even printed a heap of iron on transfers and sent them out for us all to wear on white t shirts with her head on sporting figures not one the same. She loves her sport, plays it ,watches it anything to do with any sport. It was a fantastic night and funny to hear alot of husbands saying well thanks very much my wife wants a surprise like this one nowLMAO LMAO

Sounds like a fab night Denise!
As many of you will know, I recently celebrated my 40th also, Callum planned a big surprise party for me but it all came unstuck when he sent out the invitations without a date on them and people started ringing and asking me what date the party was!
Poor Callum...not sure he will ever live that one down, but nevermind we still had a fantastic party...he organized all of the food (with a little help from my Mum) and decorations, he even organized for a friend to put on a belly dancing display so we even had 'live entertainment'. He and two of his little girlfriends made and decorated the cake, Callum was the Emcee for the evening and had everyone in stitches with his jokes and in tears when he made the birthday speech. He and his friends even cleaned and packed everything away after. Spoilt aren't I?
Denise,
Sounds like everyone had a great time!
I just love surprise parties (not for me, for others) and the look on the recipient's face is usually priceless!
What a fantastic hubby and nice to know there are still a few of them around!
