Our new little Prince finally has a name .....

Christian Valdemar Henri John

Can't say I'm rapt in the Valdemar Henri John part, but I don't mind Christian for a first name.

I like the John part, after Mary's dad - I thought that was nice, given it's not traditional to do that (her being a commoner and Australian and all). I'm glad he Christian rather than Frederick, so not a fan of Fred!

Thank goodnes he has been named at last.

Maybe all of the names with perhaps the exception of John for Mary's dad are all traditional family names....I guess they could have been worse!

I was having a look in our Tasmanian newspaper today which says that -

Valdemar is the name of one of the first-ever Danish kings.
Henrik is Prince Frederick's fathers name.
John is after Mary's dad, like Naomi said in her email.
