Did anyone watch this show (tonight Ch7 9:30)
O M G :eww: :eww:
Tonight's show was about the Body Farm. I missed the beginning, but assume it was a section of lady fenced of at a police academy, where the put bodies and watched out they decomposed. :eww:
Interesting, in a very disgusting way LOL

I have seen the 'Body Farm' a few times now on Discovery channel, and always very interesting.
Is a bit yucky seeing all the bodies though in various stages of decomposition*L*
I love the one wrapped in plastic..body soup!!

I'm studying honours in archaeology with a view of becoming a forensic archaeologist one day and these kinds of shows fascinate me.
Unfortunately I did miss Crime Scene Academy, even though I knew it was on. On the other hand, like Clearbrite, I have seen the documentary on the Body Farm which screened on the Discovery Channel. Pretty fascinating stuff.

I read an article in the paper recently that was talking about people's addictions to watching crime show tv (real and fictional). Basically saying throughout history humans have been attracted to this kind of thing. That is why there are so many crime shows on tele these days (fascinating!). And apparently its women who are watching them moreso than men, possibly because women like to see the (crime) 'problems' solved by the end of the show making them feel better.... Or something along those lines (could have got that totally wrong!!)

I find historic connections interesting, I wish I had seen the article.
I was thinking recently about the comparison between boxing and the ancient gladitorial battles. How people can be interested in people bashing each other up is just beyond me but there you go...

I used to enjoy watching the Discovery channel. But now digital has screwed all the channels up, I forget the others are there all the way up the other end. I rarely go past ch120, unless the kids are watching their shows.
Does anyone get the crime channel? That would be good, but paytv costs an arm and a leg as it is :(

Alex: Yes,we have the CI Channel, and it is really interesting sometimes. When there is nothing else on,can usually just switch to the Crime channel, and bound to be something good on.
One thing i don't like about the channel is that they also have 'Profiler'on. Now,don't get me wrong,Profiler is a good show, but it's 'fiction/drama' if you know what i mean?I like the 'real-life' stuff, and if Profiler is on,it's hard to get into cause you don't know what's going on in the show from not following it before hand.
Apart from that,it's very interesting as to what some people will do to other people!
Digital is expensive, near the $100 mark a month..but we mostly watch Digital anyhow,so it makes it worthwhile.
We don't drink or smoke etc,so figure pay TV is our 1 'vice'*L*

No I didn't, but sounds really interesting! I'm going to watch it tonight. I love watching real crime shows, they can be gross but I also find it quite fascinating. At one stage I even wanted to be a mortician!
Wow there's a crime channel huh, that would be excellent to watch I reckon!
