Just reading the thread about Brangelina and Patricia's distaste of the crap they write in womens magazines LMAO LMAO Your certainly not alone there Patricia:yes: and thought what magazines does everybody buy.
I bought a magazine called Notebook last October it was only the 2nd issue and thought it wasn't too bad. It didn't have anything about celebrities and who they have had an affair with LMAO LMAO mainly recipes, decorating gardening that sort of thing. I love to buy craft magazines always thinking Oh yeah I can do that but never get around to it LMAO LMAO I'll also buy Better Homes & Gardens and Country Homes magazines. For recipes Super Food Ideas is great only $2.95 by memory.:D

I buy too many craft magazines. Admittably I do use them but geez they are starting to pile up in the sewing room  After my handmade turned up today in the mail I told DH i wont be renewing the subscription & I am going to cut back what I buy as I have sooo many he just  at me. Apart from that I only buy the family circle every now & then when I want something diff to read.

When I do get around to buying magazines, it's usually the good old Women's Weekly or New Idea.

Occasionally, I buy Better Homes and Gardens.

I buy Who,New Woman, Star, New Idea, Woman's Day,Vogue, Cosmo,That's Life or Take That. Someone gives me Time every now and then.I don't buy them all on the same week. Usually, I buy two magazines per week and I also buy Daily Telegraph every day during the week. I am to blame for all the money-hungry papparazzi as I am one of those people who enjoy celebrity gossips.

Love magazines, could not live without them, better than shoes and handbags...

Subscribe to, also O.K Mag, InStyle and Women's Weekly, and Who...Time (though this has just run out)...

Also buy Oprah, Madison, Marie Clare, and sometimes New Idea and Womens Day...

Also get the Sunday Herald delivered on Sundays and SMH on Mondays as they have a fab tv guide...

Used to buy TV Week, but too expensive at $3.60, I also like to keep my mags for about a year...

Also keep special issues, like Womens Weekly (ie a Diana issue) or Mary and Frederik and there marriage etc...

Don't even get me started on my gran, she has mags from over 20 years ago...and heaps of newspapers, JFK being shot, Man on the Moon...etc

I used to buy a few of the popular magazines when I caught the train to work.

Most of the magazines we buy now are all sports related - Taekwon-Do, Muscle & Fitness, Fishing, Cricket etc etc. Oh and I buy the Markets & Fairs magazine as well.

I am addicted to magazines. My normal ones I buy every month are Marie Claire, Real Living and Shop Til You Drop.

Then it depends on whos on the cover with the other ones. I'll definately buy any of the other magazines if Jennifer Aniston or Elizabeth Hurley are on the cover. I love those 2 women.

When I need a bit of gossip (every fortnight thereabouts) I'll go for New Weekly or OK (the Aussie one). I get Notebook as well, I think I have them all actually, but Im not a big fan so Im not sure why I get it. I think its the price, only 5.95.

Sometimes I'll get the food magazines if I want some new recipes but I normally go online for that if Im looking for a specific food.

When I used to buy mags more often,my choice usually depended on which one had the best puzzles at the time:Hehe: Often Womans Day coz I loved doing the wonderword:D

I buy lots of different ones, nothing set each week. I also check out all the covers first and see if anything catches my interest. Not much use wasting your money if it's all boring.
I like puter/design mags, and they usually come with cds and freebies, so I will check out whats on offer to decide.

Hi, I buy Slimming Magazine every month. Been buying that magazine for years. I used to buy TV Soap and Inside Soap but only occasionally now and sometimes NetGuide magazine as it has some good computer software and stuff on it on the free CD that comes with it and lots of sites you can look up. They get too expensive but still love to get them and read all the goss! From Contiki. :D

Crafty what is the Ottobre mag like? I stumbled accross the website the other week & it looked interesting. I used to buy the Topkids magazine until they stoped making them & loved them. Is the Ottobre better ? What size ranges does it cater for ?? Have asked my local papershop to get it but thats a bit like getting blood outta a stone.

Ottobre is like Topkids, only better!! They cater for newborn to teens, and occasionally mums, dads and plus sizes. They are about to release a mum edition too. I love it! Heaps trendier even than Topkids was ( I have every issue of Topkids btw)

I must admit that most of the magazines I read are when I'm standing in line at the checkout in the supermarket. I usually pick up the one with the headlines I can't resist and then open it to find that it has nothing to do with what was on the front cover!!!!!!!!!

Same here, also the old issues at doctors surgeries. Embarrassed myself once at a specialists clinic, amazed that the issues were so recent I remarked to my husband "Look! this has last week's date!" The doctor's receptionist overheard me, got up from her chair with her purse. Returned later with an armful of new magazines!

But I've been pretty good lately haven't brought a magazine in ages but mills and boons books well that's a whole different thread and story. lol
