Who has seen this Australian movie that has recently been released to DVD?
We watched it tonight and it was very full on...lots of drug and sex references...makes me wonder....scarey to think that this kind of thing is going on in Australia...there is a whole other world out there that I didn't even know about.
Any one else have an opinion?

Saw it at the movies and left feeling very empty...sad and emotional
It is such a powerful film, and really makes you think about life and how fragile it can be...
They are talking about it being shown to Year 12 students (which I think is a great idea) and they might even have it on the HSC reading list...
I really thought the actors were brilliant...Hugo Weaving was just amazing...how would you be if your step father gave you herion...hard stuff, but very real and I guess if it gets people talking, then I think it is a good thing...

I think that would be a good idea Alex...a real wake up call!
Barbro it had Hugo Weaving, Cate Blanchette, Sam Neil and Noni Hazelhurst.....a big stretch from her Play school days!
Well worth a watch but be prepared! Its raw and confronting!

I think I saw some ads for it when it was first out, though I haven't seen it. It sounds like a good movie.

Up there with Lantana...My Brilliant Career...Gallipoli...Shine...Oyster Farmer...
and don't forget my favourite "Malcolm"
Look Both Ways is a lovely Australian movie...was directed by William McInnes wife Sarah someone (won best director at this years Aus awards)...
Has a great cast and while it is a little sad...it is about real everyday people and shows peoples lives over a 72 hour period...set outside of Adelaide...
Justine Clarke is just gorgeous...another ex play school star...
I was reading an article about Play School and a lot of actors want to work on it...as it really is a big honour...saw recently one guy on it from Last Man Standing, loads of actors do play school as it is good money ie Debra Mailman, aslo it looks good on there CV's.

I've seen little fish, we went for our book club
One month we read a book and the next month we see a movie.
We read "In my skin" which was very similar to little fish, and then we saw little fish.
They were both very full on, it's amazing the lives some people lead.
