As some of you may know hubby and I are running our soccer club canteen this season and we would like to serve soup( especially for cold training nights) in the foam cups.
I am looking for some easy yummy soup recipes. I will be using a slow cooker mostly.
Any recipes would be greatly appreciated ( i have only made soup about 3 times before)
Thanks

I have a great recipe for Pumpkin, Bacon and Lentil Soup - super easy and tastes yummy!
25g butter
1 onion chopped
4 shortcut bacon rashers rind removed chopped
500g peeled butternut pumkin
100g red lentils (straight from the packet no need to soak)
4 cups (1 litre) chicken stock
Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat and add the onion and bacon. Cook for 5 minutes until the onion has softened and the bacon is just starting to brown.
Add the pumpkin, lentils and stock. Simmer covered for 20 minutes until the pumpkin and lentils are soft.
Once cooked either blitz it in a blender or use a bamic straight into the pot and blitz it up.
Add Salt and pepper to taste.

My fave soup recipe is pea and ham but a little work involved when pulling meat off the bone.
My easy version of a corn soup. One tin of creamed corn, add one can of water, bring to boil. To thicken soup you can add some diced ham pieces and also beat an egg and swirl around in soup.
Maybe if you are using your slow cooker, maybe a chicken type soup. Don't have a recipe but maybe throw a whole or chicken pieces in slow cooker with some dice celery and carrot, add water, season to taste. 15 mintues before throw some broken up pieces of dried spaghetti and hopefully something that might resemble chicken noodle soup?

Thanks for those
I bought some pumpkin yesterday, so I might have to get some lentils today and give that a go.
I also like the sound of the corn soup- I love corn- and soooo easy.
The chicken noodle soup I might test out on the family first- I made pea and ham soup a couple of times last winter and hubby said it was too plain.
