Hang onto your hats girls Janet Evanovich has brought out her latest intallment in the Stephanie Plum series Lean Mean Thirteen.
I picked it up yesterday for $20 yesterday at Big W and am supposed to wait untill the kids go on school holidays next week and we are on vacation at the Gold Coast to read it, but I heard it calling to me last night :P and unless I pack it away now I can just see myself buying another book to read while on holidays.LMAO

OH MY GOD, I can't believe you ladies haven't read Janet Evanovichs series.
It is the best written series of books for women who want a jolly good laugh, a rollicking good ride (as in story) and fantastic female main character and some great support characters too.
The books are about a woman who decides to become a bounty hunter after she gets fired as a bridal consultant (now that's a good story) and she is possibly the worst bounty hunter ever and has a perpensity to get her cars blown up, her chargers that she is supposed to get back to court always escape or end up living on her couch and she is hot, hot, hot for another bounty hunter called Ranger (who always wears black and is a mystery) and a cop that is just so great you don't know who she should end up with.
Get it now girls, start and number one, called One For The Money and go from there.
I guarantee you will love em, they are great.

Oh Deb I so love her. I've read all the Stephanie Plum books including Lean Mean Thirteen..... Will it be Ranger or Joe? I get steamed up just reading about them... When reading ,I'm laughing so hard that the kids ask me what's so funny. Ladies take a chance & read the first one. It's good light reading. Some romance, some mystery & lots of laughs that includes a grandma that carries a gun, sometimes wears red wigs & goes to funerals to pick up men....Enjoy

So Joann....you relate to this character and that's why you enjoy the books? :jump:
I have been thinking of joining the local library....will check if they have this series.

You will be happy ladies that I have packed my book away in my suitcase so I can read it by the POOL on my holiday and let the doting aunties look after the kids while I relax.
It's still calling me though.LOL

I'm a huge fan of this series. I rarely read books because I have a short attention span (I lean towards women's mags). She's a fantastic author....the writing simply flows and you can't put them down. The humour is great.
Are you sure it'll stay in the suitcase pre-holiday crashtestwoman? :D

I saw the book in Big W yesterday, and was tempted to buy it. But you said it's a series, would you have to read all the others in order first, or are they all separate stories?

Woohoo ! I saw it at the airport yesterday and was going to buy it.... seeing as you've already finished it... does that mean I can borrow your copy??... LMAO
Even though I've only read books 1 & 5 probably wouldn't be right until I've read all the in-betweens huh :P

You can read any book at any time because they really are stand alone as well as a series.
Just get it Leigh, NOW.
