How often if ever do you change your passwords?

A work collegue recently had these problems when they went to visit one of their book marked web sites and found that they couldn't get in. It turns out that they had been banned because of abusive posts that they had "allegedly" made. Aftersome sorting out they eventually got their active status back.

Trev reminds me on a regular basis to change my passwords, he reckons with all the smart alecs and spyware around there could be a Big Brother or Sister out there watching you (looks over my shoulder as I type this):jump:

In addition, we also run spywear software about once a fortnight/month. It's very handy having Trev interested in IT, my own personal computer guru.

I have to admit I am so lax about passwords for things like forums etc. DH looks after the internet banking passwords regularly so I'm always having to ask him what the passwords are.

I'm also bad at making new passwords so I tend to use the same one over and over - it would be so easy to 'steal' my identity I think.

Hmmm. I'm off to do some password changing. Gosh - now I'll have to remember them all :crying:

Yeah for years I had the same easy password for all my stuff - though I didn't concider anything to be of interest to anyone, tho have changed it finally LOL

Never thought of someone running amok in my name tho! I have always pick secure passwords (computer generated type ones) for my telsta, banking and the like, tho I am guilty too of not changing them frequently enough.

That's my biggest fear - remembering them all.

Most of mine are easy for me to remember but complicated enough for others to try & pick them. It's funny though, when I ring a bank or somewhere else & when they ask me for my code/password I have to ask them if it is a number or word (or both) first because the list is so long and I can never remember which one I used for which bank etc :Hehe: .

Yes, that's the hardest, remembering them.

The one I have is a combination of jumbled letters and numbers, but when I say it in my head, it's a nice little ryme, so easy to remember LOL Even to type them they seem to be in a nice easy pattern on the keyboard!
