I have just finished reading A Thousand Splendid Suns in about 24hrs, it was fantastic, I couldn't put it down. Has anyone else read it?

The story is set in the war torn last 30yrs of Afghanistan and is about the lives of 2 very amazing women.

It is sad, but a real eye opener to what life for Women was like in Afghanistan, especially under the Taliban.

Will have to grab his other book The Kite Runner and read that next.

I read The Kite Runner a few years back, and thought it was brilliant, I have just bought A Thousand Splended Suns on Thursday night, I can't wait to start it.

i have read a thousand splendid suns, a few months ago. can't remember the name, it was pretty long i think..it was FANTASTIC. one of the best books i have ever read. the book made me laugh and cry and those two women would be my hero if it was a true story. interesting and sad also. the ending was incredible.

No, that this one is different Deb, it follows the lives of 2 girls that become married to the same man.

I have been looking around for some more to read on a similar subject, look to read The Sewing Circles of Herat.
